Still Small Voice – Thanksgiving, Cheshvan 28, 5783 Nov. 24, 2022

Dear Friends, old and young:

This week, my Still Small Voice touches upon Thanksgiving, the olive harvest and prayer. Let’s begin with the Pilgrims and early pioneers of North America. Like all of us, they still had a choice in tough times. These hearty souls decided in the midst of extreme hardship, famine and loss of life to pause and to give thanks to the Almighty. Yes, still many perished. No, it wasn’t easy but it was the Godly response that moved the Hand of God to provide the miracles that they needed to sustain them in the days, weeks, months and years ahead. Today the doomsday thinkers and naysayers are calling for a worldwide depression and financial collapse. Jerusalem, on the other hand, is suffering increased deadly attacks yet faithful ones in the midst of her give praise and worship to the Almighty continually. That is inspiring and in line with the Word of God … Give thanks always!

Most of you will be aware of the two deadly bombing attacks yesterday at two of Jerusalem’s entrances, the main bus station and a bus stop. The opponent of all that is LIFE is hard at work. Darkness and ignorance want everyone to be afraid to enter Jerusalem. What a travesty! This hearkens back to the dark years of the early 1990s when buses went up in flames and babes were shot out of their mother’s arms in playgrounds. We were afraid in those days. Our youngest son Daniel was riding 6 buses a day to get to school. Once inside of Jerusalem he decided to ride his skateboard; it was safer than public transport. Please pray for those injured and for those who lost loved ones. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

PRAISE THE LORD!

For it is good to sing praises to our God, for He is gracious and lovely; praise is becoming and appropriate. The Lord is building up Jerusalem; He is gathering together the exiles of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds [curing their pains and their sorrows].

The Olive Harvest

Local scenes of harvesters in the fields remind us of Biblical narratives. The olive tree has been held in very high esteem for millennia. We have Greek friends whose families have lived on the same lands for a thousand years. They watch over a 3,000-year-old olive tree which continues to thrive. What an inspirational sight. This tree is held in high esteem and is so special that it has entered the tree registry of the Greek government. We live surrounded by olive groves with many ancient giant trees among them, dating back perhaps a thousand and many hundreds of years. The personal attention and knowledgeable care given to olive orchards here are the most attentive we have seen anywhere in Europe. Producing golden oil is not only an inherited way of life in Mediterranean nations, but it is also central in their diet. Olive oil is used for cooking, medicines, cosmetics and holy anointing oil.

Stone oil jars dating back to 6,000 BC were discovered in Jericho. Bas-reliefs on Egyptian tombs of the pharaohs attest to the wide use of olive oil in cosmetics, medicinal ointments, fuel for lighting and religious rituals. Ancient Crete was a paradise of olive trees. Amphorae (stone jars) almost six feet tall were used for storing oil. The Knossos palace stored as many as 250,000 gallons. They were exported to the Middle and Late Egyptian Empires. Severe earthquakes in 1450 BC ended it.

The Greeks used olive oil in religion, sports and health. Today modern Greeks consume almost the same amount of oil per capita as in ancient times – five gallons per person per year. This makes Greece the leading consumer of olive oil in the world.

Consecrated Oil:

Olive oil is considered a gift of God in the many regions where it is used for religious sacraments. Consecrated oil is in fact olive oil.

“The LORD spoke to Moses saying, ‘Take principal spices of pure myrrh, sweet cinnamon, sweet cassia … and olive oil: … it shall be an holy anointing oil. And you will anoint the tabernacle … and Aaron and his sons. Speak to the children of Israel saying, This shall be a holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations. [forever]’”
Exodus 30: 22-31

Messiah-Anointed One:

All of the kings of Israel were called Messiah, because they were anointed with holy oil. We read over and over in scripture how the Spirit of God moved and anointed in miraculous ways in the lives of believers from ancient times. Yeshua-Jesus lived his life led by the Holy Spirit. His last words were that we be endured with power from on high. We all need to be filled daily with the Holy Spirit, speaking, praying and worshipping in other tongues. We cannot meet the needs presented to us without His power and gifts. He is our comforter, teacher and healer. Of course, He never speaks of Himself, but of the ONE who sent Him. You and I need His anointing today more than ever. We are facing formidable forces. We are not to be overwhelmed, but to overcome evil with good.

I hope you enjoy the photos of our peek into the Greek olive harvest. In many cases, Harvest time here is a family affair. Every available person ceases their daily activity to gather in the fields. We saw everyone from Grandmothers to teens all working together to bring in the abundance of fruit before the winter rains, which have just begun. Nothing is wasted in this harvest. The fruit is picked and taken to the local grist mills. The many leaves that fall in the process are gathered into sacks for fodder fed to the large flocks of sheep and goats in the area.

Famous octogenarian David Hathaway writes:

‘“The Holy Spirit showed me years ago that the WHOLE of the former Soviet countries would experience a massive revival, this has been and still is being fulfilled in an even greater way than even I foresaw in my vision decades ago.

But God’s promise to me is clear, God has set before me an open door for Central Asia and no man can shut it! Preparing to begin, I have had this same problem before, unbelief, criticism, and people who even question what and why.”

What open door has the Father set before you? I pray we will all be found faithful.

Dear Friends:

Those of you from whom I hear, are often on my heart for prayer. What a privilege it is to communicate. My theme in this Still Small Voice is tribes. From childhood my life has been impacted by many tribal groups, perhaps it all began knowing my great great grandmother was of the Shaw Clan, a Scots Highlander. I grew up with the Bible, learning in depth about Israel and her people-tribes.

“… and behold on the clouds of heaven, One like a Son of Man was coming. And he came up to the Ancient of Days and was presented to Him. And to him (The Messiah) was given dominion (supreme authority). Glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, kingdoms and nations should serve and worship Him.”
Daniel 7: 13,14

“At the time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations (tribes) of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory.”
Matthew 24:30, Rev. 1:7

“I want a black doll baby”, was my request as a four-year-old. Then, I became acquainted with a few of the First Nations (Indians) when my mother befriended children whenever we met them in the Yukon, including Eskimos (Inuit). My brothers and I were fascinated by tiny brightly painted houses erected over individual graves in the Yukon, complete with curtains on the tiny windows and dishes. Being little children we thought these colorful dwellings were play spaces. We felt no fear, even though we had trespassed into a sacred native burial ground. At other times, we found entire one-room school houses completely abandoned, with books and scribblers still in the desks. They had all of a sudden been abandoned. Had the former pupils been scooped up and locked into residential schools? Our parents never knew of these adventures.

The Charles Campbell tuberculosis hospital in Edmonton Alberta afforded me the privilege of nursing children of the Blackfoot tribe. I cared for tiny first nations tots who were desperately ill with meningitis in Kamloops BC’s Royal Inland Hospital. It was here that the first mass grave was discovered at a former Residential School, setting off an enormous wave of awareness and change.

Years later as a graduate nurse, when asked by the Canadian University Service Overseas, “What do you want to do in India?”

Without a second thought I found myself saying, “I want to work with tribal people.” That began a saga in SW Madras State working with 9 indigenous tribes, and later up in Darjeeling West Bengal with Tibetan refugees escaping from the grips of Chinese invaders of their sovereign land.

During our recent prayer-tour across Canada, we were house guests in Deseronto Reservation located at the mouth of the Napanee River on the shore of the Bay of Quinte, Lake Ontario. Because our hostess is the widow of the famous Brandt family the importance of the First Nations was again brought into focus. Allow me to explain.

The outbreak of the American War for Independence and the subsequent recognition of the United States of America in 1783 had a severe impact on the relationship between the British Crown and its Aboriginal allies. I also learned that between 1783 and 1812 with Britain’s loss of the 13 American colonies some 30,000 United Empire Loyalists became refugees. These refugees called upon colonial administrators to open up new lands for settlement in what became known as Upper Canada.

Settlers (one stream of my relatives ) were not the only refugees. Aboriginal peoples who had fought alongside the British were also needing refuge because they had been warriors for the British and were now endangered. At the same time as the European settlers were being moved, so were various tribes. The British Crown compensated its Aboriginal allies for losses they incurred during the war with the Americans. These tribes established an agricultural colony in the region. During one of my visits I stood on the crown-land, inherited by my ancestors.

Over a sumptuous Canadian breakfast, our hostess acquainted us with the First Nations history of the area. The Mohawk and Iroquois tribes, 6 in all were settled on the beautiful Bay of Quinte in this area. Each tribe or clan is represented by an animal for example, the eagle, turtle, bear, wolf etc. The five tribal chieftains who fought for the British against American forces (which gave Britain the advantage) at that time were rewarded by being relocated north into Upper Canada.

In 1884, Queen Victoria invited five tribal chieftains to London to knight them for their gallant struggle on behalf of Britain. She gave each one the following English names: Sir Marcle, Sir Brandt, Sir Hill, Sir Green and Sir Sero. The family members I spoke with were the Brandts, their illustrious ancestor was Sir Chief Brandt.

Forgive me for the rather short and sketchy history. Our time there was very brief and I learned as much as I could. However, I did glean the following information.

The position of Chief is an inherited position. You see Jay and I wearing the crown or headdress created by Patricia Brandt. It is ga’Stone-or crown in their local language. The suits are handmade of deer skin.
Sago is the greeting in their language which means, “Did you bring peace?”

I think we are all familiar with the words, wigwams and t-pees, the various dwelling places of the tribes.

– My hostess said: “Many of the tribes that came up to Canada were Christian and some even had a hymn book written in their own language. Of course it fell into disuse through the cruel ethnic cleansing of the Residential Schools. But the use of their languages are returning once again. One of her daughters teaches her tribal language in high school. A second daughter travels the world, speaking with other aboriginal leaders, having completed her doctorate of the commonalities of the world’s tribes.

Women ran the family and were called clan mothers. They ruled the inter-tribal governments, and were responsible for choosing their chiefs. They headed the family and lived from the land planting corn, squash and beans, called the three sisters.
The men were hunter-gathers and when needed, warriors.

– The birch tree is very meaningful. I also noted this in Russia, especially in the graveyards. I was told, the tree-bark regenerates itself which is a symbol of resurrection. It is always in abundant supply and used for birchbark canoes which were sealed with pine sap.

I close with this most encouraging prophetic word over the First Nations. May it touch your spirit with a desire to pray into the divine plan. When we met with family in Picton, Ontario, the first nations were brought right into focus around their kitchen table as we learned something of their history in that very special area.

“I heard a war drum and a call to gather. This drum reverberated throughout the land. This was a call to gather that had never been released. I saw it move like a wave through reservations across the land in cities, towns, along shorelines, to every island and mountain top. The frequency touched all of creation. I watched as wildlife stopped and listened to this call and what was being released. I saw bear, deer, moose and elk lift their heads. I saw birds and an eagle listening. The sound of that drum penetrated everything.

I was taken to a meadow in the mountains, sitting there was a warrior angel playing this drum. I saw angelic hosts coming from North, South, East, and West. Some of these angels looked ferocious. They gathered around the drum in a circle worshipping the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. (the One who created and rules the universe) As they came and gathered the sound grew and the Spirit of God was released among the nations.

The slumbering giant of the First Nations was awakened from sleep. It was stirred and wide awake, rubbed the sleep out of its eyes and stood to its feet, refreshed and ready to go. The sound of the drum grew and grew as the giant was adorned in a Chief’s headdress. (a war bonnet) The sleeping giant rose up, lifted its hands in a posture of worship to the Father. It wasn’t long until he was on his knees, and there was a supernatural encounter by the Spirit pouring healing oil over this giant, bringing deliverance, healing and restoration. The giant had been frozen in time, but was now saturated in deep healing anointing oil. With every step an imprint of oil was left. It was incredible.

For Behold! The One! All of the release of the awakening of the First Nations is upon you. Behold them and the gift they are unto the Body. There is movement. A gift is being released upon the land. Watch as they take their place. Government and legislation will shake apart as this sleeping giant comes to life. Restore, restore, restore and holy is the world of the LORD.” Barry Wunsch Oct 22, 2022

An die liebe Gemeinschaft meiner Freunde

Angesichts des zunehmenden Stresses wende ich mich dem Gebet zu. Und was macht Ihr? Gebet ist undankbare Arbeit. Man betet meist allein mit dem Herrn oder in Gemeinschaft mit anderen Gläubigen. Habt Ihr als Gebetskämpfer-Fürbitter-Prophet jemals erwartet, dass man Euch dankt? Nein, natürlich nicht. Die Gemeinschaft mit Jeschua ist für mich der größte Lohn, und ich lerne immer wieder Neues dazu. Danke, dass auch Ihr bereit seid, dieses Joch zu tragen. Nein, es ist nicht leicht. Wir erwarten nicht ‘leicht’, denn Seine Last IST leicht! Gebet bringt Veränderung, auf Gottes Weise. Ich habe über die Jahre hinweg ein Tagebuch geführt, und die Antworten und Lösungen für unüberwindbare Umstände waren erstaunlich. Das Gebet ist das Öl, welches alle Teile in Harmonie hält … sei es ein Auto oder der Leib des Messias. Diese Einheit bringt unsichtbare Energie, Erlösung, Kreativität und Produktivität hervor. Ja, wir müssen alle unseren Teil dazu beitragen, denn Glaube ohne Werke ist tot.

«Der Herr sah, dass die Bosheit des Menschen auf der Erde sehr groß war und alles Trachten der Gedanken seines Herzens nur böse war.” Und Gott sah die Erde an, und siehe, sie war verderbt; denn alles Fleisch hatte seinen Weg verderbt auf der Erde.»

Jesus hat seine Generation gewarnt, Paulus die seine. In Lukas 19:20 – 25 sah Jesus, dass es genauso sein würde wie zu Noahs Zeiten, zu Jeremias Zeiten, zu seinen Zeiten, zu Paulus’ Zeiten und zu unseren Zeiten! Das Heidentum hat unsere Welt in einen Müllhaufen von Unrat und Gewalt verwandelt. Der Krieg richtet sich nicht nur gegen unsere Ungeborenen, SONDERN auch gegen unsere kleinen Kinder wie nie zuvor.

«Es gibt viele, mit denen man zu Abend essen kann, aber nur wenige, mit denen man in den Krieg ziehen kann.» Was für ein Zitat! Kürzlich aß unsere Familie mit einer jungen Griechin und ihrer Mutter. Sie erzählte von einem Traum, ohne zu wissen, dass wir die Noah-Geschichte gelesen hatten. Sie sah die Warnungen Jesu im Detail, und in ihrem Traum spürten wir die Auswirkungen des Sturms und sie entkamen. In Griechenland gibt es einen Überrest, der auf sein Erscheinen wartet.

Im Folgenden werdet Ihr an unserem Dienst in der City Church Brantford Ontaria teilhaben. Die Gemeinde sang den Namen YESHUA und als sie dies taten, erfüllte die Shekeniah-Herrlichkeit Gottes den Altarraum.

Ein Blick in das Herz von Vater Gott

Barry Wunsch Kanada, 17. Oktober und 28. Oktober 2022 zu Ihrer Erbauung.

“Mein Kanada, mein Kanada, oh ich sehne mich nach dir, wie sehr sehne ich mich nach deiner Umarmung. Gott positioniert neue Regierungsführer auf Bundesebene zusammen mit Menschen an der Basis, welche er auferweckt. Hier in Kanada setzt Gott eine neue Bundesregierung ein, die nicht von einer verschwörerischen Herrschaft oder einer Herrschaft, welche unter finsteren Umständen regiert. Wir befinden uns gerade an einer Kreuzung, an welcher die wahre Kirche ihren Platz einnimmt. Kanada wird der wahre Norden sein, stark und frei, und Amerika die Schöne. Diese Nationen werden zurückkommen.” 17. Oktober 2022 (Der letzte Tag unserer Tour.)

“Die Dinge laufen heiß, macht Euch bereit, denn ich werde sie noch heißer machen. Ich verbrenne alles, was die Völker bedrängt hat. Sie dachten, sie besäßen das Gold. Aber das tun sie nicht. Sie denken, sie können mit dem Wetter spielen. Ich setze dem Ganzen ein Ende. Jeder feste Halt wird durch meinen Geist erschüttert werden. Ich schiebe dem Ganzen einen Riegel vor. Sie werden nicht länger mit meiner Schöpfung spielen. Sie bestehen darauf, mein Land und mein Volk zu vergiften, und das werde ich nicht zulassen. Sie denken, dass sie Götter sind und das Leben kontrollieren können. Sie befinden sich auf gefährlichem Terrain. Sie haben ihre Zeit gehabt. Es gibt niemanden, der größer ist als ich. Sie beleidigen mich und verhöhnen meinen Namen und führen mein Volk in den Abgrund. Sie bringen Pest, Hungersnot, Krankheit und Seuchen, um mein Volk zu unterdrücken. Sie tragen ein Datum in den Kalender ein, aber das bedeutet mir nichts. Ich habe die Zeit erschaffen.” 28. Oktober 2022

Schweiz “CERN, ich rufe dich heraus. CERN, Du hast die Grenze überschritten. Sei versichert, das wird dich teuer zu stehen kommen. Ich werde dich auf der Stelle stoppen. Es würde nur eine Minute dauern; deine Verluste werden groß sein, wenn sie vor deinen Augen explodieren, so dass die Welt sie sehen kann. Ich werde dieses dämonische Portal ein für alle Mal versiegeln. Es wird in Asche verwandelt werden. Schau mir zu, wie ich den Tisch in der Schweiz umdrehe. Diejenigen, die sich dort versammelt haben, hatten ihren Tag. Ich werde jeden ihrer Pläne zunichte machen. Die Nationen werden erbeben.”

Believers: I have those in their positions on every hill and they will rebuild upon my ancient foundations

An die Gläubigen: Ich habe diejenigen an ihren Positionen auf jedem Hügel, und sie werden auf meinen alten Fundamenten und Wegen wieder aufbauen und mit mir gehen, während ich alles wiederherstelle und erlöse. Es gibt nichts, was mir zu viel wäre, denn ich bringe das Leben, und ich bringe es in Fülle. Bringt euer Haus in Ordnung. Macht kurzen Prozess, indem ihr Eure Leben füreinander gebt. Lasst niemanden zurück. Lebt in Bescheidenheit, demütig im Herzen, herrscht nicht übereinander, wandelt in Einheit. Überwindet eure kleinlichen Differenzen. Dies ist kein Kampf von Fleisch und Blut, sondern ein Kampf gegen Mächte und Gewalten und gegen die Finsternis. Nehmt die himmlischen Heerscharen an und setzt sie ein, denn ich habe Euch jede Waffe für den Sieg gegeben. Es ist an der Zeit aufzustehen und in allem zu wandeln, was ich für Euch bestimmt habe, denn dies ist die Zeit und dies ist die Stunde, welche ich für Euch bestimmt habe.” 28. Oktober 2022

Betet für Israel:

Ja, Herr Netanjahu hat gewonnen. Haltet Eure Augen und Herzen offen und betet im Geist. Seine Koalitionspartner sind seltsam und einige gelten als radikale und religiöse Extremisten. Mit der jüngsten Wahlrunde steht Israel weltweit an erster Stelle, was die Häufigkeit der Wahlen angeht (seit 1996). Es sind die vierten Wahlen in 3 Jahren und 7 Monaten, welche das Land insgesamt 4 Milliarden Dollar kosten. Kleine und mittlere Unternehmen tragen 43-53% dieser Kosten.

Meine Familie, meine Regierung:

Jede Familie hat Kämpfe zu bestehen. Viele wissen kaum, wie sie es schaffen sollen. Die Kämpfe beginnen alle in unseren Häusern, denn hier hat Vater Gott die erste Regierung eingesetzt. Haltet inne und denkt einen Moment darüber nach. In letzter Zeit haben wir die Freude, das Vergnügen, den Spaß, den Unsinn, das Lachen, die Umarmungen, die Feste und die Gemeinschaft der Familie genossen. Unsere Söhne Chris und Daniel waren zusammen mit ihren Frauen und Kindern bei uns. Wir haben unseren Söhnen versprochen, keine Familienfotos zu veröffentlichen, um die Kinder zu schützen. Entschuldigung.

Ich verlasse Euch in dieser Woche voller Dankbarkeit. Manchmal bin ich einfach überwältigt von der Güte unseres liebenden himmlischen Vaters. Es ist mir auch eine Freude, für Euch zu beten, wenn der treue Heilige Geist mich an Euch erinnert. Ich tue mein Bestes, um gehorsam zu sein, Tag für Tag ermutigt er uns. Lasst mich wissen, wie ich für Euch beten soll. Teilt meinen Brief mit anderen.

“Mache dich auf und werde Licht, denn dein Licht ist gekommen,und die Herrlichkeit des Herrn ist über dir aufgegangen.“

Shalom Dear Friends:

Sometimes I think we become all too familiar with the many privileges of being a believer in a God who lives! What do I mean? I know that I have not appreciated the immense potential granted me through His Living Word. We speak it daily, read and discuss it, but do I release it? I woke up this morning with some instructions: “My Word IS the source of Life, hinder me not!”

Our Shabbat dinner is the highlight of the week. This week, two sons, a kalah, (Hebrew for a son’s wife}, a family friend and a delightful 22-month-old grandson were our guests. As is our custom, after the blessings we hugged and kissed before beginning to eat. It was a superb feast of fresh fish caught earlier in the day and masterfully prepared by our Greek friend. We topped it off with chocolate cake, berries and ice cream. Yummy. The real piece d’resistance was the scripture reading that followed. Today, who isn’t seeking direction in this upside-down world? It read as follows:

“ He led them safely, so they did not fear. I (wisdom) walk in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice. Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way, and to bring you into the place I have prepared. In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel of His presence saved them: … their own arm did not save them; but Your right hand and Your arm led Your people to make for Yourself a glorious name. O LORD, lead me in Your righteousness because of my foes, make Your way straight before me.”
Psalm 78:23a, Proverbs 8:20, Exodus 23:20, Isaiah 63:9, Psalm 5:8a

Upon waking this morning I was arrested by the knowledge that our foes, can be our own worries and anxieties that open the door to negativity! This does more to hinder the delicate internal workings of the blessed Holy Spirit deep within our own lives and those of our loved ones. Often very sadly, our mouths are misused instruments, not as a well of life. Pause and consider this. Then I heard these words, in command form:

“Loose him and let him go.” Jesus never saw impossibility. He dared to ask various ones who came to Him (that was the secret). “What do you want?” Our hope is that He has never changed and is “the same yesterday, today and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8

I read recently read, a description of Jesus is “THE EDGE”.

Simply put He is the dividing line between:

Life/death, peace/torment, light/darkness, success/failure, strength/weakness,

Health/sickness, contentment/despair, sanity/insanity, direction/confusion, singleminded/double minded, prophecy/sorcery, balance/imbalance, adventure/boredom, significance/meaninglessness, eternal/temporary, beauty/ashes, obedience/disobedience, respect/disrespect, gratefulness/ungratefulness, confidence/anxiety, fruitfulness/barrenness, friendship/loneliness, self-worth/dissatisfaction, purpose/drifting, contentment/dissatisfaction, sustenance/inner starvation, satisfaction/frustration, sabbath rest/overwork, renewal/refuse, citizen/alien, adventure/boredom, freedom/slavery, autonomy/control, liberty/bondage …

Sometimes the only way to find the edge is to go over it!

Greece is desperate for water. Our well, and others in the valley are dry. About once a month we order a truck to bring us 70 cubic meters of water. We use it to water our trees and run the house. This fall we have had 3 days of rain so far. However, I believe that we are experiencing a miracle. As evening falls, so does the precious dew, which soaks everything. A mist rises up over the valley like a blanket. When we drive out just two minutes, the fields are dry as a bone. Ever since we have been coming here since 2018, I have been praying for change. I am asking the land to be refreshed and the wells to be filled again. May this sheep nation have all that is needed for fruitfulness.

Greece is different from other nations in many ways. The Greek Orthodox Church is very visible and active in the nation. Our local friends respect and trust their priests and have been raised to serve God and one another. Because of the godly standard set up here there in no Halloween, or Masonic Lodges, both are rooted in the occult. I am praying for two dear friends who are masons and see no need for change in their lives, yet one is dying of cancer. How sad is that? Communism has been put down here as well. One can sense the open heavens here through the daily practical application of brotherly love.

With the mounting stress, I turn to prayer. What do you do? Prayer is thankless work. One engages mostly alone with the LORD or in fellowship with fellow believers. As a prayer warrior-intercessor-prophet, have you ever expected to be thanked? Of course not. I find the communion and fellowship with Yeshua my greatest reward, and I learn new things all the time. Thank you for also being willing to bear this yoke. No it is not easy. We don’t expect ‘easy’, for His burden IS Light! Prayer brings change, God’s way. I have kept a journal over the years, and the answers and solutions to insurmountable circumstances have been amazing. Prayer is the oil that keeps all parts moving in harmony … be it a car or the body of Messiah. This unity produces unseen energy, salvation, creativity and productivity. Yes, we must all do our part for faith without works is dead.

“The LORD saw that the wickedness (depravity) of man was great on the earth, and that every imagination or intent of the thoughts of his heart were only evil continually. God looked on the earth and saw how debased and degenerate it was, for all humanity had corrupted their way on the earth and lost their true direction.“

Jesus warned his generation, Paul, his. In Luke 19:20 – 25, Jesus saw that it would be just as it was in Noah’s day, Jeremiah’s day, His day, Paul’s day and our day! Paganism has turned our world into a garbage heap of filth and violence. The war is on against not only our unborn BUT our young children as never before.

“There are many you can go to supper with but very few you can go to war with.” What a quote! Recently, our family had dinner with a young Greek woman and her mother. She relayed a dream, not knowing that we had been reading the Noah story. She saw Jesus’ warnings in detail and in her dream we felt the effects of the storm and escaped. Greece has a remnant looking for His appearing.

Below you will share our ministry in City Church Brantford Ontario. The congregation sang the name YESHUA and as they did so the Shekeniah-glory of God filled the sanctuary. It is found at 34 minutes until 41:44 then Jay and I speak.

Pray for Israel:

Yes, Mr. Netanyahu won. Keep your eyes and hearts open and pray in the Spirit.

His coalition partners are strange and some are considered radical and religious

extremists. Israel’s latest round of elections puts it first in the world for frequency of elections. (since 1996) This is our 4th in 3 years and 7 months, costing the nation a total of 4 billion dollars. Small and medium-sized businesses bear 43-53% of those costs. The Israel Manufacturers Association.

My Family, my Government:

Every family has battles. Many hardly know how they are going to make it. The battles all begin in our homes, for this is where Father God first established government. Pause and think of that for a moment. Recently we have savored the joy, delight, fun, nonsense, laughter, hugs, feasts and fellowship of family. Our sons Chris and Daniel have been with us along with their wives and children. We have promised our sons not to post family photos to protect the children. Sorry.

I leave you this week, filled with thankfulness. At times I am just overwhelmed by the kindness of our loving heavenly Father. It is also my joy to pray for you as you are brought to my mind by the faithful Holy Spirit. I do my best to be obedient, day by day He encourages us. Let me know how to pray. Share my letter with others.

Meine lieben Freunde

“Meridel, ist hier. Immer noch müde von der Kanadareise, aber ich höre auf die Stille kleine Stimme und versuche, gehorsam zu sein. Danke für Eure Gebete für uns und eure Briefe und Notizen. Irgendwann werde ich wieder bereit sein. Am dringendsten sind eure Gebete für die Nationen und ihre Generationen. Das ist nötiger denn je. Mögt Ihr und ich treu sein und mit den himmlischen Heerscharen und Kriegsengeln zusammenarbeiten. Wenn ihr nicht wisst, wie ihr beten sollt, betet im Geiste Gottes. Die Zeit ist vorangeschritten.”

Während unserer morgendlichen Familienandacht haben wir über diese Verse nachgedacht. Oft bezieht sich die prophetische Stimme auf Zion, Israel, und auch auf Jeschua – Jesus, den Messias, sogar auf Zion, den lebendigen Leib des Messias. Jay vermutete, dass Psalm 44,23 nicht nur Abba war, der zu einer zurückweichenden Nation und Kirche sprach, sondern dass genau diese Worte von Jeschua, der am Kreuz starb, erlebt und geäußert wurden. Dies war sein endgültiger Verlust: die Gegenwart seines Abba. Er starb dann mit gebrochenem Herzen, nachdem er für unsere Trennung mit seinem eigenen Leben bezahlt hatte! Wie kann jemand ohne Seine Gegenwart leben?

Kanada:

Marlaina Danielle Smith ECA, Premierministerin von Alberta, ist eine kanadische Politikerin und Journalistin, welche seit dem 11. Oktober 2022 das Amt als 19. Premierministerin leitet. Sie führt die Vereinigte Konservative Partei an.

Israel

Die Wahlen werden in wenigen Tagen stattfinden. Die politische Situation ist ein «Balagon», was hebräisch für Zirkus heisst. Genug des Irrsinns. Betet bitte für den Frieden in Jerusalem. Daraus wird sich alles ergeben. Wir bitten um einen Führer, welcher für alle Menschen Israels kämpfen wird. Wusstet Ihr, dass es in Israel kein Halloween gibt? Wir haben das ewige biblische Fest von Esther. Kennt Ihr die wahren Ursprünge von Halloween? Ist das eine lästige Frage?

Iran

Frauen führen den anhaltenden Kampf für Freiheit im Iran an. Schon das Ablegen des Hidschabs ist ein Risiko für Leib und Leben. Sie sind entschlossen, den Mullahs weiterhin zu trotzen, damit ihre Kinder von den extremen Hasslehren in den Schulen befreit werden können. Großbritannien und Irland

Rishi Sunak mit indischem Hintergrund ist der neue Premierminister. Er hofft, dem durch das Wirtschaftsdebakel von Johnson/Truss geschundenen britischen Volk neue Hoffnung zu geben. Sieben Jahre: 5 Premierminister, 7 Schatzkanzler und 2 Monarchen später … Großbritannien braucht eine frischen Berührung vom Himmel, genauso wie alle Nationen.

Wisst Ihr, wer die ANZACs sind?

Das australisch-neuseeländische Armeekorps ist auf ewig mit der Stadt Beerscheba verbunden. Der ANZAC Tag wird in dieser Stadt jedes Jahr am 31. Oktober gefeiert. Ihre Geschichte der Tapferkeit markiert den Jahrestag des heldenhaften Siegeszuges der Australian Light Horse Brigade. 500-800 mutige Soldaten und ihre Tiere kämpften in Beerscheba gegen die verschanzten osmanisch-türkischen Truppen. In dieser Wüstengegend stand viel auf dem Spiel. Für die Männer und ihre Pferde wurde dringend Wasser benötigt. Am 11. Dezember 1917 zog General Edmund Allenby, Befehlshaber der britisch-ägyptischen Expeditionsstreitkräfte, in Jerusalem ein, zwei Tage nachdem die türkischen Truppen, welche die Stadt besetzt hielten, die weiße Flagge der Kapitulation vor den alliierten Streitkräften gehisst hatten.

Griechenland

Der 28. Oktober ist in Griechenland ein Nationalfeiertag. Die Familien nehmen sich Zeit, um den Sieg des Zweiten Weltkriegs zu feiern. Die alliierten Streitkräfte vertrieben die Nazis im Jahr 1944. Bis 1945 blieben viele von ihnen auf Kreta verschanzt. Während des Krieges halfen die umliegenden griechischen Bevölkerungsgruppen den Juden. Die jüdische Gemeinde in Thessaloniki wurde durch den Holocaust fast vollständig ausgelöscht. Mindestens 81% (etwa 60 000) der gesamten jüdischen Bevölkerung Griechenlands vor dem Krieg kamen ums Leben. Möge niemand von uns JEMALS den Preis vergessen, welcher von allen bezahlt wurde.

Tora-Teil:

Diese Woche ist es die Geschichte von Noah, der Arche, der Flut und dem Turmbau zu Babel. Dieser Teil der Heiligen Schrift wird in jeder Synagoge weltweit gelesen, unabhängig von der religiösen Einstellung – von orthodox bis reformiert. Zusammen mit einem Teil der Tora enthält er immer auch einen prophetischen Teil. Wer hört zu? Gott wählte Noah aus, als den einzigen ehrlichen Mann, in einer Welt voller Heuchler und Bösewichte. Er beschloss, Noah und seine Familie zu retten und bat Noah, die Welt in einem Boot zu retten. Alles, was wir hören, sind giftige Worte, die mit gespaltener Zunge gesprochen werden. Lärm … welcher Streit und Uneinigkeit hervorruft. Babel ist lebendig und es geht ihr gut, aber wir haben das ewige WORT des LEBENDIGEN GOTTES. Halleluja! Der prophetische Teil dieser Woche ist: Jesaja 54:1 – Jesaja 55:5. Siehe auch Lukas 17,20-27.

Kallisarvoiset ystäväni!

Meridel tässä kirjoittaa yhä uupuneena Kanadan-kiertueesta, mutta pientä hiljaista ääntä kuunnellen ja kuuliaisuutta noudattamaan pyrkien. Kiitos rukouksistanne meidän puolestamme sekä kirjeistänne ja viesteistänne, palaan niihin aikanaan. Kaikkein tärkeimpiä ovat rukouksenne kansakuntien ja nykysukupolvien puolesta. Perheen aamuisen hartaushetken aikana mietiskelimme näitä jakeita. Jay otaksui, että Jesajan kohdassa 54:8 Abba ei puhu ainoastaan harhautuvalle kansakunnalle ja seurakunnalle, vaan että Jeesus ilmaisi ja koki nämä sanat ristillä kuollessaan. Se oli äärimmäinen menetys; Abban läsnäolon menettäminen. Sitten Jeesus kuoli sydän särkyneenä maksettuaan Herran Jumalan omien eroonjoutumisesta! Miten kukaan kykenee elämään ilman Hänen läsnäoloaan?

Tiedättekö keitä ANZAC-joukot ovat?

Australian ja Uuden Seelannin armeijan joukoilla on ikuinen side Beersheban kaupunkiin. Joka vuosi lokakuun 31. päivänä siellä vietetään ANZAC-päivää. Australian kevyen ratsuväen sankarillista ja voittoisaa panosta juhlitaan vuosittain. Rohkeat sotilaat ja heidän ratsunsa, joita oli 500-800, taistelivat Turkin ottomaanien joukkoja vastaan Beersebassa. Panokset olivat kovat tuolla aavikkoalueella. Jumala valitsi Nooan teeskentelevien ja pahojen ihmisten maailman ainoana rehellisenä miehenä. Hän valitsi pelastaa Nooan perheineen ja pyysi Nooaa pelastamaan maailman arkkiin. Kuulemme vain myrkyllisiä sanoja, joita lausutaan halkaistun kielen avulla. Melua… kipinöivää kiistelyä ja epäsopua. Baabel on elossa ja voi hyvin, mutta meillä on Elävän Jumalan SANA. Halleluja! My Dear Friends:

“Meridel, here. Still weary from the Canadian journey, but listening for the Still Small Voice and trying to be obedient. Thank you for your prayers over us and your letters and notes. I will eventually catch up. Most urgent are your prayers for the nations and their generations This is needed more than ever before. May you and I be found faithful to work along with the heavenly hosts and warrior angels. If you are at a loss on how to pray, pray in the Spirit of God. The hour is late.”

During our morning family devotions, we mused over these verses. Many times the prophetic voice relates to Zion, Israel, and also Yeshua – Jesus the Messiah, even Sion, the living Body of Messiah. Jay surmised that Psalm 44:23 was not only Abba speaking to a back-sliding nation and church but these very words were experienced and uttered by Yeshua dying on the cross. This was his ultimate loss; the Presence of his Abba. He then died of a broken heart having paid for our separation by his own! How can anyone live without His Presence?

Canada:

Alberta’s Premier Marlaina Danielle Smith ECA is a Canadian politician and journalist who has been serving as the 19th premier of Alberta since October 11, 2022. She leads the United Conservative Party.

Israel:

Elections are only days away. The political situation is a balagon, which is Hebrew for circus. Enough of insanity. Kindly pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. All will flow out from that. We ask for a leader who will fight for all the people of Israel. Did you know that Halloween does not exist in Israel? We have the eternal biblical feast of Esther. Do you know the true origins of Halloween? An annoying question?

Iran:

Women are leading the ongoing fight for freedom in Iran. The simple act of taking off their hijab is a risk to life and limb. They are determinate to continue defying the Mullahs for the sake of their children to be freed from the extreme hate- teaching in schools. See www.impact-se.org report. Where are we standing in relation to what is being perpetrated against our children and grandchildren?

Rishi Sunak of Indian background is the new Prime Minister. He hope to bring new hope to the British people battered by the Johnson/Truss economic debacle. Seven years 5 Prime Ministers and 7 Chancellors of the exchequer and 2 monarchs later … Britain needs a fresh touch from heaven, as do all nations.

Do you know who the ANZACs are?

The Australian and New Zealand Army Corps has an eternal tie with the town of Beersheba. ANZAC Day is celebrated in that town yearly on October 31^st. Their story of bravery marks the anniversary of the heroic victorious charge of the Australian Light Horse Brigade. Courageous soldiers and their animals, 500-800 fought against the entrenched Ottoman Turkish forces in Beersheba. The stakes were high in this desert area. Water was urgently needed for the men and their horses. On December 11, 1917, General Edmund Allenby, commander of the British Egyptian Expeditionary Force, entered Jerusalem, two days after the Turkish forces occupying the city raised the white flag of surrender before Allied forces.

Greece:

October 28th is a national holiday In Greece. Families are taking time to celebrate the WW2 victory. Allies forces drove the Nazis out in 1944. Until 1945, many remained entrenched in Crete. During the war, surrounding Greek populations helped the Jews. The Jewish community in Thessaloniki would be almost entirely annihilated by the Holocaust. At least 81% (around 60,000) of Greece’s total pre-war Jewish population perished. May none of us EVER forget the price paid by all.

Torah Portion:

This week It is the story of Noah, the Ark, the flood and the Tower of Babel. This Scripture portion is read in every synagogue worldwide no matter their religious stance from Orthodox to Reform. Along with a portion of the Torah, it always includes a prophetic portion. Who is listening? God chose Noah as the only honest man in a world of hypocrites and evil. He chose to save Noah and his family and asked Noah to save the world in a boat. All we hear are poisonous words spoken with forked tongues. Noise … sparking argument and dissent. Babel is alive and well, but we have the eternal WORD of the LIVING One. Hallelujah! The prophetic portion this week is Isaiah 54:1 – Isaiah 55:5. See also Luke 17:20-27.

Canada and the Future???

Canada is at a tipping point … Yes, it’s almost more than you want to know. No one knows what is going to happen. On our latest tour, across our great homeland coast to coast, what did we find? It is true; Canadians are modest and careful people. Most are slow to speak and slow to anger. But Canada has changed dramatically since our last visit in 2019. Persecution is a reality. It begins with warnings, real danger and abuse which we discuss in this issue of Still Small Voice.

Happily, I found the Action4Canada website. Lawyers and other professional Christians courageously defend Canadians’ rights and freedoms. They teach us how not to be afraid but active. action4canada.com.

Did you Know?

Dr. James Lunney and his wife Helen treated us to a tour of Ottawa, our capital city. James is a former Federal Member of Parliament. They pointed out the landmarks, including the enormous Chinese Embassy. I learned that Canada’s 17th Chief Justice, the Right Honorable Beverley McLachlin, P.C., C.C. retired in 2017. I found it very interesting that today she sits in Beijing advising the Chinese government. She is an Albertan, born into a Christian family in 1943.

Toronto the Good …

Did you know that Toronto now is host to three Chinese police stations? Yes, this is a fact. They are staffed by policemen from mainland China?

Did you know that the former Penhold Airbase in Central Alberta (I lived on this former NATO base with my family during my high school years.) hosts Chinese soldiers who are “learning to fly”? I am sure you have other observations.

Under Siege:

A dear family friend acquainted me with the book by this name, authored by Don Hutchinson ISBN:978-1-4866-1453-0 (ebook) I quote from page 188:

“God’s priority is not so much to answer the questions His people may have about why they are persecuted but to give them a revelation of Himself.”

Five Stages of Persecution:

I quote:

1. “The starting point for persecution is clear: an individual or group is identified as a problem by another individual or group. If an example hasn’t already come to mind, here is a single word: evangelical. Toss that one into the ring and most Canadians have a gut reaction, either for or against.

2. The second stage is vilification. This is the word the Supreme Court Canada used as the point of definition for hate speech in its 2013 decision in Saskatchewan (Human Rights Commission). Whatcott: 41. … Representations vilifying a person, will seek to abuse, denigrate or delegitimize, to render them lawless, dangerous, unworthy or unacceptable in the eyes of the audience. Expression exposing vulnerable groups to detestation and vilification goes far beyond merely discrediting, humiliating or offending the victims.

3. The third stage is marginalization. Once it has been determined that the general characteristic (stereotype) of an individual or group is bad, and they are unworthy of general acceptance (vilification) the next step is to make them unwelcome. Treating others as insignificant and outside the scope of acceptability delegitimizes their participation in societal dialogue.

4. The fourth stage is the one at which official action is required. The individual or group is criminalized for their beliefs or practices. Note that it is not usually the practices alone that are criminalized (some religions and cultural communities are constrained from criminal actions for the sake of the actions alone, eg. Child mutilation) but practices that occur only because they have a nexus with the relief of the identifiable individual or group (e.g. singing Christian songs in a public gathering.)

5. The fifth stage is outright persecution. This may take place through social hostility, not official sponsors by the state but often sanctioned by the state or political hostility that is endorsed by state officials (e.g. people are beaten by neighbours simply because of their religious beliefs and the state takes no restriction if someone speaks publicly about a minority faith belief.)

Stages four and five are the stages where the risk of death becomes a present reality. Sometimes the stages are reduced to three: discrimination, persecution and martyrdom. However, I think the nuance of the five-stage mode is a better way to measure increases on a spectrum of persecution that is recognizable under Canadian and international law.” End of quote.

The Voice of the Martyrs Canada:

A second opinion comes from the experience of generations of Christians who have paid dearly for their faith and freedom. This ministry works with the global Church in nations where persecution is taking place. They above all people, I believe, do recognize a persecution scale that is explained by using Scripture.

Ridicule: “But they kept mocking the messengers of God, despising his words and scoffing at his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD rose against his people, until there was no remedy.” 2 Chronicles 36:16

(I find this very disturbing. Why did it go so badly for the Jews? Was it because of the victim mentality? Not standing up? Aid those who knew the RIGHT way not fight back? What do you think? Is silence golden … Or can it spell doom?

Harassment: “Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time that you may devote yourselves to prayer but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.” 2 Corinthians 7:5

(I also find this hard to understand. Any ideas?)

Discrimination: “If the world hates you, know that it hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.” John 15:18-21

Attacks: “The crowd joined in attacking them and the magistrates tore their clothes off of them and gave orders to beat them with rods.” Acts 16:22

Imprisonment: “Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested; for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.” Rev. 2:10

Torture: “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves so be wise as servants and innocent as doves. Beware of men for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues.” Matthew 10:16,17

(Paul certainly was thrown out of synagogues, but that is NOT happening today, the opposite is true. Jews and synagogues are under attack just as much as Christians of many different denominations.

Martyrdom: “I have said all of these things to keep you from falling away. Indeed the hour is coming when whoever kills you thinks he is offering service to God. And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me. But I have said these things to you that when their hour comes you will remember that I told them to you.” John 16:1-4

Sorry dear friends, yes it is heavy. But it is time to speak openly of these matters?

Our journey to Canada was stupendous. We bless every soul and congregation that we had the privilege of being with. It will take us some time to catch up with our correspondence, as we are now home and in jet lag.
