Shalom … fra Rawlings familien i Israel; en velsignet påske – påskehøytiden! Hvor er dine tanker når du legger deg for natten? David, alene i Judas ørken skrev: «Jeg tenker på deg der jeg ligger og hviler, og grunner på deg gjennom natten.» Salme 63:7 Når David stilte spørsmål, forventet han svar. Den pågående krigen mot Messias og hans rike finnes i Salme 102. David bar tittelen Messias, som alle Israels konger gjorde. Dette fordi de var viet til den Allmektiges tjeneste og salvet med hellig olje i Herrens navn, Israels navn. «Hvorfor er folkeslag i opprør? Hvorfor grunner folkene på det som er forgjeves? Jordens konger reiser seg, fyrstene slår seg sammen mot Herren og mot hans salvede. Han som troner i himmelen, ler. Herren spotter dem. Jeg vil kunngjøre det Herren har fastsatt. Shalom… to you this Passover – Easter Season from the Rawlings in Israel! You see to the above, an ancient menorah carved out of rock found by a friend during our recent tour of Yodfat, a village destroyed by Roman legions in 60 CE/AD. David alone in the wilderness of Judah wrote: “When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches. Because You have been my strength.“ Ps 63:6a. When David asked questions he expected answers. The on going war against Messiah and His Kingdom is found in Psalm 102. Shalom, Rawlingsit Israelista toivottavat siunattua pesachia / pääsiäisaikaa! Huomaathan oikealla olevan kuvan ikivanhasta, kiveen kaiverretusta menorasta, jonka eräs ystävämme löysi hiljattain tehdyllä retkellä Jodfatiin. Tuon kylän Rooman legioonat tuhosivat vuonna 60. Mitä ajattelet levätessäsi vuoteella? Ollessaan yksin Juudean erämaassa Daavid kirjoitti: ” … kun minä vuoteessani sinua muistan ja ajattelen sinua yön vartiohetkinä. Sillä sinä olet minun apuni… Psalmi 63: 6,7 [Englanninkielinen käännös ilmaisee hieman toisin: Sillä sinä olet ollut minun voimani, vahvuuteni, {sisuni} suom.huom.]Kun Daavid teki kysymyksiä hän odotti saavansa vastauksia. Psalmista 102 löytyy jatkuva sota Messiasta ja Hänen kuningaskuntaansa vastaan. Shalom … vom den Rawlings in Israel, gesegnete Ostertage! Rechts: Ein Freund fand kürzlich anlässlich eines Ausflugs nach Jotapata (Yotfat) diese antike Menora, in Stein gehauen. Dieses Dorf wurde durch die Römer im Jahre 60 n.Chr. zerstört. Woran denkt ihr wenn ihr im Bett liegt? Als David allein in der Wüste Judäas war, schrieb er: «Wenn ich deiner gedenke auf meinem Lager, über dich nachdenke in den Nachtwachen. Denn du bist mir zur Hilfe geworden». Psalm 63.7 Wenn David Fragen stellte, erwartete er Antworten. Der ständige Krieg gegen den Messias und sein Königreich ist in Psalm 102 beschrieben. Herren taler fortrolig med dem som frykter ham, han gjør dem kjent med sin pakt. Salme 25:14 I dag er Purims første dag, og hele Israel feirer. Dette er en av mine favorittfester da det er tid for å “legge fra seg” for å nyte og sende pakker med hilsninger, kaker og sjokolade til familie, naboer og venner. Ja, akkurat som vi er instruert i Esthers bok 9:22. Denne historiske kilden sikrer at vi husker og feirer Guds bevaring av det jødiske folk. … «For det var på disse dagene jødene hadde fått fred for fiendene sine, og i den måneden klagen ble vendt til glede og sorgen til fest. Derfor skulle de feire dem som dager for fest og glede og sende mat som gaver til hverandre og til de fattige.» Der har du det … vår Herre Gud la våre fiender av gamle og fortalte sine barn å huske, observere og holde denne tiden for befrielse og frelse gjennom våre generasjoner! Herran neuvo on tunnettu niille, jotka Häntä pelkäävät… Psalmi 25:14 Maaliskuun alussa oli purim-juhlan ensimmäinen päivä, ja koko Israel vietti juhlaa. Tämä on yksi lempijuhlistani – aika ottaa rennosti, nauttia ja lähettää pikkuleipiä, kakkuja ja suklaata perheenjäsenille, naapureille ja ystäville. Aivan kuten meitä opetetaan tekemään Esterin kirjan kohdassa 9:22. Tämä historiallinen kertomus varmistaa sen, että muistamme Jumalan teot juutalaiskansan säilyttämiseksi ja juhlimme niitä. …muistoksi niistä päivistä, joina juutalaiset olivat päässeet vihollisiltaan rauhaan, ja siitä kuukaudesta, jolloin heidän pelkonsa oli vaihtunut iloksi ja heidän surunsa juhlaksi. Niinä päivinä heidän tuli pitää iloisia juhlia ja pitoja, lähettää toisilleen herkkuja ja antaa lahjoja köyhille. The secret of the LORD is with them that fear Him. Psalm 25:14 Today is the first day of Purim and all of Israel is celebrating. This is one of my favourite feasts because it is time to “let down” to enjoy and send packages of cookies, cakes and chocolates to family, neighbours and friends. Yes, just like we are instructed in Esther 9:22. This historical account ensures that we remember and celebrate God’s preservation of the Jewish people. …as the days on which the Jews had rest from their enemies, as the month which was turned from sorrow to joy for them, and from mourning to a holiday: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, of sending presents to one another and gifts to the poor. There you have it… our LORD God put down our enemies of old and told His children to remember, observe and keep this time of deliverance and salvation throughout our generations! Last week, we all had a most unusual experience. I had taken a break from office work and was in the garden pruning our aloe plant. The winter winds had ripped most of the flowers away. I was trimming the stalks. Our office manger came outside and said, “Meridel there is a lady at the gate, and she says she knows you but, that you do not know her.” I recognised the family name as one of the charities our production team had produced teaching material for in DVD form. The elegant lady that stood before me was dressed in a dusty rose blouse and skirt with matching stylish chiffon scarf draped around …

Shalom Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers and financial contributions. It has been put into the ‘pot’ to help keep our doors open and the work going forward. Here are some pointers to encourage you in prayer for us. The time is grave and growing ever more so… and we have to daily submit our hearts to Jesus. I told Jay, I feel like a leaf trembling on the end of a branch. But God…! We have learned to encourage ourselves in Him day after day. Kindly join Jay and I in this prayer for our four sons all working in Media: David 48 yrs, Christian 46, Joshua 42 and Daniel 31. They have been a tremendous blessing to us over these many years, but we sense the Holy Spirit wants to loose them for even greater service. We pray: Sanctify them – purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy – by the Truth. Your Word is Truth. Just as you sent Me into the world, I also …

TROUBLE IN ZION For those of you who did not get our video updates on israelvision.tv, I am sure you will find this of interest. “Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the ends of the earth. Among them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and the one who labours with child together,A great throng shall return there. They shall come with weeping…”Jeremiah 31:8,9a. In spite of her neighbours with their ongoing lies and continuous attacks, paradoxically, Israel IS Noah’s Arc for Jews according to the Almighty. They began to return home in the 1880’s. No nation wanted Jews. If you doubt this, do a little checking, (Canada included!) The situation only grew worse during WWII.
