Still Small Voice – Iyar 7th 5783 / April 29th 2023

Dear Friends:

News flash:

Our 10th grandchild has arrived and the house is full of ‘oohing’ and ‘awing’ by friends and family. The wee one is a beautiful 4-kilo boy with a full head of hair; his proud parents are Dan and Shelly, and he is their second son.

Your comments are most appreciated and thank you for praying for Israel and her diverse people at this crucial time.

“Rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep.”

Romans 12:15

This is another week of tears in Israel; but this time it is followed with great rejoicing.  First, every mother and father in Israel whose children served in the Israel Defence Forces have memories. Our Day of Remembrance for the fallen is a time to listen as families tell the stories of their irreparable losses. 3 of our sons have experienced the military here, and all 3 returned home when some of their buddies did not.

When one falls in Israel, we all feel the loss because we are a family nation, despite what it may look like on the outside. One mother Orna, sits on her son’s gave-side mourning the loss of Gadi, who fell at age 19 in the Givati brigade. (Our eldest son David served in Givati, a combat unit.) She is 76 this year and for the first time in Israel’s history, her request is for the politicians to stay away from the Military Cemeteries and give the grieving public some relief from their endless rhetoric. She told a reporter at the Jerusalem Post: “Is this our holiest day?”

She is opposed to the planned list to her son’s cemetery by National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Givir. “This person did not serve, did not wear a uniform for a day, never stood in an honor guard for fallen comrades – what does he have to do here? It hurts me to say this, but I speak from the depths of my heart. But look at what is happening in this country today, God help us! At this holy place everything needs to be holy… these are our children. We need only to hear the birdsong and the siren, that’s all and not to desecrate this place for heaven’s sake. Is it that hard to understand? When you are told not to come, don’t come!”

Herzl Halevi, Chief of the Israeli Defence Forces:

“Memorial Day drives a deep connection between the personal and the national. This year, especially amid tensions, we must focus on personal remembrance as we wrap ourselves in the deafening power of silence and unity. We unite with our loved ones who have fallen in battle. The pain of loss echoes the pain of many families in Israel. Mourning has no address; it may knock on the door of any family whose sons and daughters serve in the army.” Our homeland will soon celebrate 75 years as a modern nation.”

At sunset, after the 24-hour period of national mourning, a change sweeps in. Young and old throng the streets, flying Israeli flags, banners and balloons. They throw streamers, shoot off fireworks, eat, sing, dance and rejoice. The following day, there are so many barbecues, the smoke can even  be seen from outer space. Well, Israel is the original nation of barbecues is it not! On that note, you might take a moment or to read our Scroll of Independence.  (Declaration of Independence)

The Sabbath:

Now, it is time to gather my thoughts and prepare for Shabbat! Our son David reminded me of when he was a child, and how he loved Fridays at school. That was when the children learned the entire process of making little hallot (shabbat breads). They baked enough to eat on the spot and proudly carry the rest home to their families.

“The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.”

Mark 2:27

These words of the Savior remind us that the Sabbath day is a gift; a blessing to all of mankind. We discovered it here in Israel, to be just that! We found it to be one of the loveliest gifts the God of Israel created for His people Israel and the world. After the six days of Creation, God rested on the seventh day and instituted the Sabbath as a memorial of Creation; the 4th commandment is in perfect harmony with the teachings and practice of Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath. It is a foretaste of our eternal future in God’s kingdom. It is also a perpetual sign of His eternal covenant with His people. Joyful observance of this holy time from evening to evening, sunset to sunset, is a celebration of God’s creative and redemptive acts. Gen. 2:1-3; Exod. 20:8- 77; Luke 4:16, Isa. 56:5, 6; 58:13, 14; Matt. 12:1-12; Exod. 31:13-17; Ezek. 20:12, 20; Deut. 5:12-15; Heb. 4:1-11; Lev. 23:32; Mark 1:32.

Although the world is still blind to this truth; what a gift and blessing it is to those who take this rest. Israel is absolutely unique in that as much as possible, the nation calms right down and a spirit of quietness and rest covers us all on Shabbat. We look forward to this celebration. It is a time for refreshing, reflection, worship, Bible reading, family visits and feasting. Even the animals were granted rest by their merciful Creator.

Music for Shabbat: Enjoy!

Shabbat Shalom.

With love from the Meridel Rawlings and the Family.

Still Small Voice – Nisan 30th 5783, April 21st 2023

Dear Friends:

These are the days of wonder, in which we question and pray.

“They who sow in tears shall reap with songs of joy.”

 Psalm 125:5

Rabbi Carlebach explained  that Instead of reading this verse as, “They who sow in tears, shall reap with songs of joy,” perhaps it should read it, “They who sow in tears and songs of joy shall reap!” Rabbi Carlebach explained that everything has both tears and joy in it. Sometimes, in order to achieve true joy we need to shed some tears; very real, very holy tears.”

Jay writes: “As we are busy here in Israel, we can see the impossibly painful things unfolding without and within, along with the evil intent, confusion disillusion, tears and anxiety. There are few ‘songs of joy’. We are in the throes of birth pangs, or painful cramps, and blood. In the natural when a mother goes into labour, we are assured the baby will soon appear.  Here in Israel, we cry for deliverance, but still it doesn’t come. We can discern the times, but we have to work hard not to judge. We realize as we grope to understand, that we see through a glass darkly. Our Heavenly Father alone is Judge. Together Meridel and I are reading the Prophet Ezekiel, we just read chapter 36; one of my most favorite chapters in the entire Bible. We are left with more questions than answers.”

Meridel writes: “The great historical process of Israel’s Redemption is being played out, and we just happen to be on location at this time to watch up close and personal. Yes, we can actually put dates on some of the verses, and their historical timeframes … for history past. We read of history present and history future and we want all the answers now. But, Israel’s full painful birthing process is far from being over. We work to acknowledge that The Almighty created the nations. Israel’s historical time-frame cannot always be understood. As much as we want the lion and lamb to lie down together, and all weapons forged into ploughs; the Keeper of Time alone holds the keys. May the Lord have mercy upon us all as we work, pray, trust, hope in His Salvation, and rest in His love.”

Holocaust Remembrance Day:

The poignant and legitimate question of an Israeli friend are:  “This day in Israel is a day on which we mourn, honour, remember and pray that ‘Never Again’ will be our reality. A state ceremony is held at the Holocaust Memorial Museum; and every military base, town, city, village, and public institution has a ceremony to mark the event. In schools the children dress in white and a Holocaust Survivor comes to talk to them, although sadly fewer and fewer are still alive to tell their tale of horror. At 10.00, Israel came to a stop. Sirens wail around the country for two minutes. Buses stop at the side of the road as do cars; the drivers and passengers. Everyone stands silently in respect. The single wail of the siren seeps into one’s soul; reminding us all of the 6 million lost. What happened when propaganda convinced entire nations that we were the devil incarnate, the cause of the world’s troubles? Is it the sin of being Jewish …?”

“We are a people that survives and ultimately thrives but why oh why does hatred haunt our history and follow us even up into today? Why are we the ‘Chosen People’ only to be chosen for all the wrong reasons? Is it because we are different? Is it because we pray differently? In truth too many of us don’t even pray any more. Is it because we eat different foods? Yet again many of us don’t follow the dietary rules. Is it because we look different? Sometimes. Is that reason enough for murder? So why? Again, because we are Jews … ?” By Sheila an Israeli

An Echo comes Back … from another Israeli friend, Orith

“God has to remind me that it doesn’t matter what I myself, my family (dead or alive) and all people; whether I met them or not – think of me.

What counts is how He sees me, and what He thinks of me.

He is the Light to my feet and the lamp to my path – Psalm 119:105

He sends angels to protect me  – (psalm 91:11)

He will never leave me nor forsake me – (Deuteronomy 31:6-8)

He supplies all my needs – (Philippians 4:19)

He corrects me, like a loving father, when I need it – (Hebrew 12:6-12)

He answers my prayers – (Proverbs 15:29) He is All in All – God loves me. and this is what’s important. What He thinks of me, how He sees me – for He sees me through the blood of His son, Yeshua the Messiah. Because of this, I am acceptable in the Beloved because He paid for my sin and yours.”

I hope you enjoy this true story told over British radio, years after the war by a Jew who grew up in a British orphanage. Our hero is a young child, one of the thousands, saved from Nazi Germany by the Kinder Transport Operation.

Chasing the King

by Dina Cohn

One day a thrilling announcement was made, King George V1 was coming to visit the orphanage. The excited children were instructed to put on their best clothes for the occasion. They lined up outside awaiting the King’s arrival. However, they were let down, when they realized, they were only present to wave to the King as he drove past in his car.  Disappointment filled their hearts. But then, something unexpected happened!  One of the boys broke rank and started to run after the car. He ran as fast as he could, knocking on the bumper until it came to a stop. The side back door opened and the little boy found himself face to face with the King.

King George V1 asked, “What’s wrong son?”

The lad explained: “I had been hoping to meet you to express my gratitude for bringing me to England. However, you see, I’m terribly lonely as my parents are still over there …”

The King listened patiently, “What is your name son?” He inquired. “Where are you from?” Breathlessly the child blurted out the details. “Thank you for your kind words.” The King said before saying, “Goodbye now.” He closed the car door, leaving the little fellow standing there in the middle of the road.

Just a few weeks later, the headmaster of the orphanage called the boy into his office. He was nervous, not knowing what he could have possibly done wrong. To his amazement, the headmaster revealed that the King had been deeply moved by their encounter. He opened a side door and there stood his Mom and Dad!

The man who retold this story, years later,  couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of remorse. “I have spent the last 60 years asking myself why I had not chased after the King.

The truth is, we all have a chance to chase after the King. Do we take the opportunity when it is presented, or do live a life of regret and missed opportunities?

“And the King shall answer, and say to them, Truly I say to you, inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of these, My brothers, you have done it to Me …”

Matthew 25:40

This week, may each one reading my letter be encouraged to run after your King and find the COMFORT and answers you need. May Israel be mightily comforted. Thank you for praying for the nation and Jerusalem.

With love and blessings from Jerusalem,

Meridel Rawlings

Still Small Voice – Nisan 24th 5783 / April 16th 2023

Dear Friends;

“For the coming of the Son of Man (the Messiah) will be just like the days of Noah … “

Jesus in Matthew 24:37

In Noah’s day, the sons of God (sons of rulers possessed by fallen angels) co-habited with the daughters of men and produced a race of godless giants. (Genesis 6. Amplified Bible.) A godless social order ruled the earth. In short, the natural order of procreation was tampered with, as in today’s reality. We are witnessing ever-increasing numbers who have succumbed to the mental lies and pressure of their true self-identity. This confusion is pushing many to seek the physical mutilation of their bodies through the medical systems. Governments condone and supervise, while parents are silenced.

“But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned … I will require his blood from the watchman’s hand.”

Ezekiel 33:6

In September and October 2022, I gave warning of the dire future of Canada. I pray to the Almighty that it was heeded. I have no indication that it was. Our work is to warn and speak truth in love.  This letter is another sounding, a very severe one.

I am asking you to watch this investigative film and share it with your family and circle of friends. Dr. Carrie Made obtained 4 vials of the coronavirus vaccines to document their contents under a microphone. As of the making of this film, no other video evidence of this kind has been displayed. We who were jabbed as obedient law-abiding citizens, consequently have been made neuromuscular transmitters. I pray you will heed the warnings and LIVE.

In one of the last scenes in the film, with tears, Mr. Cliente asks  “where can we run?” The answers are found in the Bible.

The 2030 agenda: (Click the link to open)

We are not terrified in that we know our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Our souls are safe, untouchable, eternal. This takes the sting out of death. There is NOTHING to fear but fear itself. Not standing up and actively choosing LIFE is guaranteed death at the hands of the unscrupulous. Sadly, they are found in every nation.

Jay and I succumbed to taking the coronavirus vaccine.  Israelis were forced, and we erred, because we were forbidden to travel out from Israel unvaccinated. Our lives have never been the same. We were poisoned and have suffered nerve damage, numbness, generalized weakness, muscle spasms and regret.  Mr. Netanyahu passed into law the order to seal all recorded dealing with Pfizer for the next 50 years. He sold Israel, down the river. Our globalist leader give over all of our personal medical data to whom? I can ask but there are no answers. What was his pay-back? We will never know. To many Christians, he is a Prince. Please get the facts on the ground.

Our hope lies in the words of Messiah-Jesus:

“So I say to you, ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking, and you will find; knock and keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who keeps on asking [persistently] finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, the door will be opened. What father among you, if his son asked for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you, then, being evil [that is sinful by nature] know how to give good gifts  to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him?”

Luke 11:13

Send in your comments, negative and positive.

Sincerely;

Dr. Meridel Rawlings.

Still Small Voice – Easter Sunday / Nisan 18th 5783, April 9th 2023

Shalom from Jerusalem dear Friends:

Josh drove us to the airport in Athens Greece, David picked us up at Ben Gurion airport in Israel and Daniel and Shelly had the Sabbath candles lit and a feast spread out before us upon arrival home. We are grateful to all four sons who shower us with loving-kindness. Chris up in Helsinki does the same, of course.

Jay and I arrived back in Israel Friday night to the intense crush of terror breaking all around. Rockets from Gaza and Lebanon did their best to disturb. A bank was hit and the lead balls and bolts packed into the missiles smashed through the front of the building, destroying computers. A mother and her daughters were shot while driving along the Dead Sea road. The two girls died and the mother is fighting for her life. This very night a car rammed into 7 tourists in Tel Aviv killing one, and injuring the others. This is our reality in Israel today. Today Syria lobbed 6 missiles towards Israel, and 3 landed in Syria and Jordan. In Israel, no lives have been lost in any of these missile attacks.

Today is holy to Jews. Attention was focused on the Western Wall; in Greek it is translated, as The Wall of Tears. Here, the Cohanim gave the priestly blessing to Israel. You know it, say it with me: “The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you; and be gracious to you. The LORD lift up His countenance upon you and give you His peace. So Aaron and his sons put My Name upon the children, and I will bless them.” Numbers 18: 24-27

How comforting is that? No other nation has this divine mandate of an Eternal Covenant that God first spoke to Father Abraham.

Food for Thought:

“When the righteous are in authority and become great, the people rejoice; But when the wicked man rules, the people groan and sigh.”

Proverbs 29:2

“I will bring them (all Israel) back home again from the land … until no room can be found for them. And they will pass through the sea of distress and anxiety with the LORD leading His people, as at the Red Sea …”

Zechariah 10: 10,11.

We’ve just come through Passover when we rehearsed the first deliverance from Egypt. Only The LORD God of Israel knows what our future holds. We know the end of it all will be glorious. “I Meridel, do believe God’s Word is absolute. We sense we are coming into Jacob’s Trouble. Will our government play right into the hands of enemies, as weird as that may sound?  We have also awakened to the truth that Jesus sent his Apostles OUT of Israel to the world. None of them was here during the destruction in 70 AD. He left clear instructions to leave Jerusalem when the armies approach. I believe this word applies to today and I would be a fool to say I understand it. We are waiting and listening on the LORD who has the words of LIFE at this critical time in our history.”

Today, Israelis came to visit. We sat together chatting in the shade of a large olive tree as the temperature was up to 33C here today. “It’s so good that you have a home in Greece at this time.” They said.  “How did you know? Are you prophets?”

Jay and I were careful to explain that Israel’s entire history, past, present and future is written by the Prophets including The Revelation and of course, spoken of by Jesus. Everyone here is trembling, as there seems to be absolutely NO let up with the bad news be it from the government, or the madness of the nations surrounding us. When we mentioned Jacob’s Trouble: their response was this: “We as a people have never lived without trouble! I am brokenhearted,” our friend Gili said.

Please pray for Israel’s peace and for Jerusalem.

Believers in the Messiah have good news: “He is risen!”

Because of Jesus we live and move and have our being. I must tell you, it is a real joy to be in Greece where Passover is the most important Feast of the entire year. Jesus is loved, and many know Him personally. Grace blankets the nation and we need a place to rest and take stalk of the intense lives that we have lived in Israel. We are very pleased with the ongoing relationship of cooperation between Israel and Greece. It is comforting for us Israelis.

Today Jay lit a 24-hour candle in honour of the memory of his father, Victor Alloway Rawlings, who fell on this day, April 9th 1945, in WW11 in Holland.

Thank you for your prayers all of these years. We plan to stay in Israel for three months before returning to Greece.  Let us continue to stay in touch. Here is a very very good film on the Holy Land that takes us back to Biblical Times. I pray you will enjoy it as much as we did. With this, I will close, as it is a busy time for us all.

Loving greetings from our Jerusalem home to yours:

Jay and Meridel Rawlings and family.

Still Small Voice – Nisan 9th, 5783 / March 31st, 2023

Dear Friends who love the Still Small Voice;

Take a moment, and come and worship with me. We read the following passage at our breakfast table this morning and the glory of the LORD came upon Joshua, Jay and I. We could only worship and give thanks for His mercy does endure forever.

We love to remember our family and friends young and old in prayer.

“Isaac went out to mediate in the field toward evening …

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart

be acceptable in Your sight O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,

the moon and the stars, which You have ordered;

what is the man that you take thought of him?

Great are the works of the LORD;

they are studied by all who delight in them.

How blessed is the man

who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,

nor stand in the path of sinners,

or sit in the seat of scoffers?

But his delight is In the law of the Lord,

and in His law, [teachings and statutes] he meditates day and night.

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth!

My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness

 And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips;

when I remember You on my bed.

I meditate on You in he night watches.”

Genesis 24:63, Psalm 19:14 Psalm 8:34, Psalm 111:2, Psalm 1:1,2, Joshua 1:8, Psalm 64:5,6.

Israel: Rule or Ruin

Intolerance and Power – are the two most dangerous aspects of any society, but we are not any society: we are a people who know what racism is, a people that have suffered oppression yet came together to form a wonderful democratic society for all. We opened our arms to refugees from the Holocaust, Arab Countries, Eastern Europe, the Soviet Union, Ethiopia and the West. Instead of describing them as refugees, we say they are coming home – making Aliya. We were, are and will be one people again, it will take time to ease the pain of the enforced rift between us, but we will make it.

This is the week that was, with the largest riots enveloping the nation in our history. Our leader had to backtrack… for now. After Passover and our upcoming 75th Independence Day celebrations, let us see if anything has really changed. We petition heaven for both sides to sit down with President Herzog and others without any preconditions and reach compromises that each side can accept. Thank you for your invaluable prayers for Jerusalem and all of Israel.  Know that your prayers and tears and recorded on high. My heart has been as heavy as lead since our internal troubles began with the new Parliament. I could not shake the sadness. This morning it was dissipated by the ever-loving and faithful Presence of our Messiah. Hallelujah! Now, that I am able to distance myself I can see. I realize that because Jay and I and our sons, worked so closely with Israeli media; we made friends all across the board. Jews of every shade and colour were acquaintances be they political or religious leaders, Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Messianic, New Age, Atheists, and Secular Israelis. We know Christians of all flavours and Palestinians both Muslim and Christian. No wonder we feel the tearing of the very fabric of human decency that holds us all together! Again, thank you for your prayers for all people in this part of the world during this season of Passover and Ramadan.

All Muslim Nations:

The fast of Ramadan has begun and continues for a month. It can be very taxing with no food or water allowed during daylight hours, and only after sunset is a meal eaten. Can you imagine dehydration in the heat?  This is the time in the Muslim calendar when Islamic radicals work overtime to attack Jews in any possible way. Recently their fingerprints were felt right here in Greece. They will be praising Allah now for the internal weakness they perceive taking place inside Israel.  Please put the Muslim nations on your list, name all that you can remember, and call for their Salvation, please! This is yet another reason to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and all of Israel.

Athens, Greece:

Greek police said in a statement: “Greece thwarts massive Iranian threat in Athens against Israeli Jewish targets. After the investigation of the suspects in Greece, the Mossad assisted in uncovering intelligence related to the infrastructure, methods of operation and the connection to Iran. Two Pakistanis of Iranian origin, aged 27 and 29, were planning attacks on Israelis in central Athens. One of the targets was reportedly a kosher restaurant and another a synagogue in the Greek capital. Their aim was not only to cause the loss of innocent lives of citizens but to undermine the sense of security in the country; while hurting public institutions and threatening [Greece’s] international relations,” United with Israel March 28. 2023.

Now that we senior Rawlings are retired we are spending more time here and inviting our children and grandchildren to do the same. Greece opened her arms to us. As was our pattern in Israel, we love to make friends with all people. Here it is mainly with the locals and some Albanians. Just today, Paniyota sent a large sack of hand-picked oranges to our door. Petros sent goat’s milk down from the high pastures, Anastasia sent goose eggs, and Fortunes brought chicken eggs. Anna sent chicken soup and a bag of apples. We have befriended many ‘Yayas’ – Grandmothers and Nuns in the local monastery. We are overwhelmed by kindness. We came to be a blessing, but just look at what is happening! Last week we joined in with them to celebrate Greece’s 201st anniversary of Freedom from Turkish rule.

Jerusalem wasn’t released from their grip until General Allenby and Australian troops routed them out of Jerusalem in 1917, marking the end of the Ottoman Empire.

As Passover will have come and gone between now and my next letter, here is Gad Elbaz. It reminds me of the glorious Passover Seder we enjoyed in the home of family members last year, 26 in all. We sat at the table until midnight. I was most impressed because it was the first time in all of my years that we actually completed the entire Agadah. Also, the men, of military background sang with great gusto, the little children ran around the garden connected to the dining room, and a grand time was had by all. It was an eve of holiness.

Our youngest grandson was just 1 year and 3 months old and didn’t close his eyes once. Gad Elbaz sings of the joy and tradition of a family sitting at the Seder Table, singing together. “Why is this night different from all others?” This is the question asked of the children.

Now, music from other sectors of our society:

Am Israel Hai – The People of Israel Live.

Every blessings from our home to yours.

Still Small Voice – 23 Adar 5783 / 24. März 2023

Meine lieben Freunde:

The experience made an indelible impression on my life. That was 1948. A momentous year on the earth.

Bitte erhebt Israel in Eurem Gebet:

Israeli Government Rejects President's Judicial Compromise - The New York Times

Amir Tzarfati

Geliebte Freunde:

Zum Schluss: Habt Mut. Lasst uns unsere Herzen im Gebet vereinen.

Still Small Voice – 2 Nisan 5783/ March 24th, 2023

Dear Friends:

“In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did as he pleased.”

Judges 17:6

Concerning Israel, today, no news is good news. All we hear is confusion, accusations and hatred.

How can we be blessed? Jay observes that it harkens back to the time of the Judges when the people demanded a King. I am afraid we are in for some very very dark days. One side loves to blame the other, and no one has all of the answers, yet there is NO willingness for negotiation brother to brother. We are in dire need of a wake-up call immediately before the situation escalates into civil war.

“… Dispense true justice,, practice kindness and compassion to each other and do not oppress or exploit the widow or the fatherless, the stranger or the poor; and do not devise or even imagine evil in your hearts against one another.”

Zechariah 7:9,10.

The above order came through Zechariah as he encouraged 50,000 returned exiles from Babylon to Jerusalem. They had to get on with the work of building a very humble temple. History certainly repeats itself, so clearly seen through the history of ancient and now modern Israel today. The anger of the Almighty is real. There can be no backtalk. Everyone is left speechless when He moves through the nations. Again the stage is set worldwide for incredible days ahead that we cannot even imagine. May our faith spring ever upward full of praise and hope for the pathway we will walk in perilous times, knowing we are never alone.

Heroes of the FAITH:

Nepal:

Today I am introducing you to two of my dear friends. The first is Indira Ghale, a champion of trafficked girls and women in Asia and the Middle East. Presently she is in a highly politicized court case against a serial pedophile. The accused was caught trafficking 300 Nepali girls to India. Indira, with the help of God’s favour won two court cases against serial pedophiles in the past, who sit in prison today. PRAY for victory to come SWIFTLY. Enough of the deliberations. You can view a powerful portion of the film we made for Indira. God’s people gave us funds and we founded the NGO Change Action Nepal in Kathmandu in 2018.

Our theme is: YOU can make a difference.

Canada:

Now, I want to introduce you to Canada’s Cathy Peters. In 2012 her home was the venue where I shared insights of my work with the sexually abused. Cathy and many others had questions about this type of work.  Although shy by nature, Cathy forged ahead with the help of key contacts to become a powerhouse for truth and righteousness on behalf of trafficked girls and women. She is a recipient of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for her anti-human trafficking advocacy work. Here she is in her own words:

Dear friends,

I was interviewed by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and they printed the interview in the March DECISION magazine entitled: Putting Full Surrender into Action – The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada.

Sincerely, Cathy Peters

BC anti-human trafficking educator, speaker, advocate

I have met so many mighty women who are making a difference in their various nations. Women who dared to stand up and tell it like it is. Women who were found by Jesus and have never turned back. Women with backbone, grit, determination and the necessary willing heart to speak out for those who are silenced.  You will meet both courageous men and women in my book Stain Remover.

For 40 years, I worked tirelessly in this field, from 1980 to 2021. Many brave men stood alongside to help. My husband and sons are among them.

PowerPoint:

Small Talk: is a popular PowerPoint on sexual touching for children of all ages. I used it in my family and children’s seminars.

Film:

Looking back, the film Change Action Nepal is the film our family was inspired to work on together in Nepal over a three-year period. Sexual issues have now escalated out of control, with our children being legally taught to choose their own sexual expressions as early as kindergarten. What an inditement upon our dark enabling societies. This is the one topic the archaic Church structure shies away from; to our peril. Consequently, your friend Meridel and millions of others have learned to ‘choose life and live’.

Still Small Voice – 23 Adar 5783. / March 17th 2023

My dear friends:

Shalom is a wonderful word to speak out into your world in these days, Peace! Peace can only flow from heaven downward to us, as we lift our eyes and faith and send up praise and worship wanting nothing in return, but His Presence! This has always been Jay’s and my secret of quiet joy and being lead peacefully by the Holy Spirit. We pray the same for every husband and wife reading my letter. We encourage you to pray and worship together in the spirit in the midst of your home.

My Prophetic Act at Age 8:

We were living in White Horse, a very small town in the Yukon, northern Canada at the time. My father was in the Royal Canadian Air Force.  Our parents had left on a business trip for several weeks, driving thousands of miles to Winnipeg, a city in the middle of Canada. A lady was hired to care for us but; we suffered, as children do without their parents. Their departure left us feeling unprotected. Being the big sister of the family I guess I felt a responsibility to comfort them.  One night, I had a dream and awoke with a start.  I will never forget, there was a glorious full moon beaming in through my window and across the moon was a huge cross. I woke up my two brothers, Don (9) and Rod (5) and my younger sister Janice (2.5). My parents’ bedroom was filled with the silver light of this moon and I gathered them all into their big bed. I told them that Jesus was coming in our lifetime, and we had to be ready. We hugged and prayed in the simplicity of childhood, welcoming Jesus back. Then we settled down, comforted, and spent the rest of that night sleeping peacefully in our parents’ bed.

The experience made an indelible impression on my life. That was 1948. A momentous year on the earth. After almost 2,000 years the modern state of Israel was established in her ancient homeland. Prophecies that had been frozen for millennia were now being put into motion by the Almighty, the God who created Time! Little did I ever dream that my husband and I would be intimately involved with this amazing nation for 54 momentous years. To God be all the glory. May he who sits in heaven, continue to receive our praise and worship until the day he calls us home. May our lamps always throw off a warm and bright light!

Please lift Israel up in Prayer:

The last few weeks have been tearing us apart. They are harming Israel’s economy, security, political ties and especially Israeli cohesion. Israel is at the edge of an abyss. Civil war is a real threat. Those who think that a real civil war, with lives lost, is a line we will not cross, have no idea. Precisely now, 75 years into Israel’s existence, the abyss is at our fingertips.”

President Haim Herzog March 16th, 2023
Israeli Government Rejects President's Judicial Compromise - The New York Times

Approximately half an hour after the speech ended Mr. Netanyahu’s Likud party expressed its disapproval of his plan to negotiate.

“The political and social chaos is bringing Israel destruction and will have to be restructured. We are facing our worst danger since the Yom Kippur war in 1973.  We have implosion from within surrounded by enemies without.  We are on the verge of a coup and at this time and we cannot survive an Ezekiel 38 war. We are broken-hearted by what we see.”

Amir Tzarfati

“And those that want to be Sauls to their own people – you shall fall by your own sword in this season. … for you have turned to the way of Cain, you have turned to the ways of Balaam. Little is left before your seat is replaced. And it shall not be a charging donkey,” says the Lord, “to replace it, a stubborn mule shall be subdued and put in its place, says the Lord.”

The Still Small Voice is Sounding

We cannot but help be gripped by the sudden burst of one tragic event after the other taking place across the earth. I believe we have entered the phase of birth pangs spoken of by our beloved Messiah Jesus. NO this is not the end, but no doubt, we have entered into the time frame called, the end days of Messianic times.

“ … But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs [of the intolerable anguish and the time of unprecedented trouble].”

Matthew 24:

What is most important for each one of us to grab a hold of the parable of the ten virgins. Five did not have oil. Wisely, the other five had OIL, and their lamps were trimmed. The possession of the precious oil, the Holy Spirit is speaking of their personal relationship with their coming Messiah – Bridegroom.

The lamps referred to in this parable, are oil lamps. They speak about my life, and yours and highlight what we were created to be filled with oil! The oil is the blessed Holy Spirit who dwells within, keeping our spirits alive and shining out into the darkness. The Holy Spirit has offered us all of his gifts and fruit, IF we have opened to receive them. The mystery is that they enable us and consequently those around us to thrive even in dark times. As unglamorous as it may be, we each have a pathway set before us to walk upon in daily discipline, which demands obedience. For the bridegroom said very clearly; “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” John 10:27

I never want to hear Jesus say to me: “I assure you and most solidly say to you, I do not know you. [We have no relationship].  Therefore be on the alert, be prepared and ready …” Matthew 25:13.

Let’s work to shun anxiety and fear and dwell on those things which are of good report. Let each one of us never forget this key passage in scripture:

“For the mystery of lawlessness [rebellion against divine authority and the coming reign of lawlessness] is already at work; [but it is restrained] only until he who now retrains it is taken out of the way. Then the lawless one [the Anti-christ [will be revealed ] …”

2 Thessalonians 2:7, 8a.

The RESTRAINER is the Holy Spirit in you and me. No matter how weak and poor as we may feel. If we have given our lives to Messiah-Yeshua, and have seriously worked to live in His holy Spirit, we are His. Our bodies are his holy temple. You are a lamp set on a lamp post on a dark street, helping all who pass by to see their way. Yes, we are his temple, his lamp, we are sealed by his Spirit. We are light bearers, especially when the lights go out and they will!

“Perfectly positioned and positioned perfectly,” is a wonderful word the LORD gave to Jay and I decades ago through Pastor David Duell. (Colorado, USA) Picture for a moment the coronation crown of the British Commonwealth. Think of the magnificent jewels set into that crown. Can you imagine King Messiah’s crown? Its jewels are made up of your life and mine, so uniquely crafted, eternal, light filled. Can you say, “I am a jewel in the crown of my King in heaven!”.

Our workplace is right here. We are each set into position in our home and community, town, village or city. We are the salt and light, chosen from the foundation of the world to shine at such a time as this. Our work, our call is to hold back or RESTRAIN the rot and purification from taking over the earth.

Beloved friends:

In closing, take courage. Let’s join our hearts together in prayer.

Still Small Voice, Humor at Purim – March 10th 2023.

Shalom, dear Friends,

During Purim which was a few days ago, we do fun stuff. Refusing to be paralyzed when faced with darkness is really the essence of the story of Queen Esther; along with the ability to use great wisdom and unify the people in your world.

Allow me, at this time, to introduce you to Daniel’s wife Shelly, an Israeli/Canadian. In Hebrew, she is our hen, which means grace. God meant for the women in families to be friends and family at the same time. We are meant to be close, loving and supportive! Jay and I are very proud of Shelly for holding her ground and speaking out in Hebrew and English. So friends, watch! I hope you will laugh along with us as Shelly does her Purim spoof: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZS8QxAJkh/

2023: the year of TRUTH for humanity

“You may think you can break the divine and human law, but you will only break yourself.”

Judge Pascal Najidi

The Earthquake is here!  For the millions who have been terribly compromised by the Covid vaccines … rejoice!  The day of reckoning has finally come. Pfizer is now facing a lawsuit of $3 Trillion and the World Health is next in line. In Shelly’s 30-minute video, you will meet Israeli scientist Yuval Harrari who tells us what the World Economic Forum’s plan is for all human beings. What do you think? Is he a monster? At the end, at 30 minutes you have got to listen to the words coming out of Benjamin Netanyahu’s mouth. This is what he has done to each one of us Israelis, and we even hear how excited he is about his future plans for us. I hope you are shocked. Tell me what you think. Have we Israelis been the world’s guinea pigs or not?  Yet, so many of us are damaged by the so-called vaccines, which were in fact NOT vaccines at all. We were never given the truth, but the day of reckoning is here.

My Experience with the ‘jab’:

After two shots, I was admitted to the neurology department in a Jerusalem hospital for a week of intensive investigative tests in December 2021. My right hand was paralyzed and my balance and walking gait were compromised. While in the hospital, a doctor spoke with me privately one evening and said: “We have admitted and tested thousands of cases like yours. We are not permitted to document their complaints or testimonies.”

After all of the tests, the Drs said they found nothing. So myself and how many others were sent home being made to feel they were psychosomatic. I was not so tempted, for being a former nurse, my distressing physical symptoms were real and still persist.  I knew the truth because in my spirit, dwells the Spirit of Truth! I had in fact been poisoned and injured. I pray the eyes of your understanding will be opened, to the most basic truths of what is being exposed today.  See some of what went on behind the scenes.

Finally, in today’s Still Small Voice letter, we will hear from Judges who have been working quietly behind the scenes across the nations for years to bring forth truth and freedom from the insanity that has taken over the world.

The International Criminal Code under Articles 6 (Genocide) and 7 (Crimes Against Humanity) is the basis upon which the research of their Tribunal rests. It is headed by Honorable Judge Alfred Lambremont-Weber. Judge Pascal Najidi introduced us to other Judges from many nations including Canada on February 26, 2023. Seeing and paying attention is vital. Here is the site to find out about this investigation. (peaceinspace.org

The best news of all:

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.  The LORD our God helps us and to fight our battles. The LORD your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy!”

Ps 34:19, Ps 1:6, Ro 8:28, 2 Chron 32:8, Zeph 3:17.

Good changes are breaking upon our beleaguered world. Watch and Pray. Please send your comments. How have you coped through it all?

This comes from an encouraged heart.

I pray the Still Small Voice finds you the same.

Every blessing this Shabbat and throughout the coming week.

Still Small Voice – Purim. March 3rd, 2023

Shalom dear friends, one and all:

Did you know that Israel has a special day dedicated to family? This past Tuesday, families across the country spent the day focusing on and celebrating the special bond that is family. Children, especially in kindergartens, created art projects and brought family photos to share with their friends. Many families plan special after-school activities to celebrate the day together. Our family took off to the Negev desert to see the immense carpets of the ruby red ‘rose of Sharon’.

Israel:

Jesus wept over the city of Jerusalem … and “we weep with great love for Zion.” Psalm 137: 1-5.

It is a time of great controversy. I suggest, Noa Tishby’s 2021 book, Israel: A Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth. It is a “wonderful read” especially at this very difficult time internally for the nation and her people. Thank you for your prayers.

History comes to Life during Purim:

The Jewish people have faithfully kept the Biblical Feast down through the annuals of history. This week we are celebrating Purim, The Feast of Esther.  What a perfect time to celebrate the faithfulness of the LORD God of Israel, when everything looks so dark.

One of the most amazing archaeological shards has been found in Israel, and it is just a small piece of pottery. A hiker in Israel’s Judean lowlands region recently discovered a 2,500-year-old pottery shard inscribed with the name of the Persian king Darius the Great. He was the father of king Ahasuerus, the king Esther had to marry. Never before has any proof of this great King of history ever been found in Israel.

Greece:

Here in Greece, a terrible train collision took the lives of 59 young people this week. The death toll continues to rise. Darkness seeks to overwhelm ordinary people in the nations globally at this time. This week Greeks begin Lent after a festive weekend. In many Catholic nations, it is known as Carnaval. Now, with Pessach-Easter just 6 weeks away, the Greek Orthodox have given up eating meat, eggs and cheese. It is a form of humbling oneself.

After Passover observant Jews look for meaningful ways to pass the next 50 days until Shuavot, or Pentecost when the Law was given. See Exodus 34. It was also on that exact date that the Holy Spirit was first poured out upon the Apostles and followers of Yeshua-Jesus our Messiah in Jerusalem. Acts 2. Those were dark times politically and so we take heart.  King Solomon wrote: For there is nothing new under the sun. History does repeat itself.

Prayer changes everything:

My friend Colleen Peric a fellow intercessor wrote:

“My dear Meridel, we truly are kindred spirits. I would like to see days of repentance throughout Canada.  People are so expecting Revival in Canada but where is repentance?”

A challenging thought for each one of us. I hope the following article speaks to you as it did to me.

The Confessions of a King

“For I recognize my transgressions, and am ever conscious of my sin.”

Psalm 51:5

“Everyone loves a love story. Unless you happen to be a prophet named Nathan and the love story involves a married woman named Bathsheba being pursued by a man named David who happens to be the king of Israel. This is not a boy-meets-girl romance! Though this story involves sin, it ends with the paradigmatic example of repentance and we have much to learn from this narrative.

Sometime after the sin had taken place, Nathan the prophet confronts David. David immediately admits his guilt, rather than hide his actions in shame. David wrote a Psalm from which the entire world can learn about how to repent. Those seeking to repent should take a close look at the actions of King David.

King David teaches us about man’s vulnerability and his desires, as well as his ability to soar to the heavens and redeem his sins through repentance. Repentance demanded that his sin be made public, when David is confronted by the prophet Nathan with rebuke.

David responds in 2 Samuel: 12 with a single  word: Chatati (חטאתי),

‘I have sinned.’  Psalm 51. This is his public response. David indicts himself right from the start. In verse 5, he declares that his sin is always with him while he begs the Lord to cleanse him of his iniquity.

David is not satisfied with his own personal repentance but declares that he will teach others the path towards repentance and atonement as well. See verse 15. His commitment was to return and in the process to bring others closer to God.  Consequently, we (Jews) continue to herald King David as the greatest king of Israel.

But what is David’s message for us today? What can we learn about repentance from this Psalm? You may find this interesting:

As an experiment, I asked ChatGPT, the new artificial intelligence chatbot, what it thought of King David’s brand of repentance and what King David teaches us in this Psalm. Its answer sounds good but … can a computer program that can’t sin* (see below) really understand repentance?  You, the human reader, will have to be the judge.

ME: Good morning, Chat GPT.

Chat GPT: Good morning, human.

ME: I want to hear your opinion on repentance as expressed by King David in Psalm 51. How should a person repent?

Chat GPT: Ideal repentance refers to a complete and sincere change of heart and behaviour that results from acknowledging and regretting one’s wrongdoing. It involves a deep sense of humility and a recognition of one’s dependence on God’s grace and mercy.

In Psalm 51, King David reflects this ideal repentance as he confesses his sin and seeks forgiveness. In this psalm, David acknowledges his wrongdoing, recognizing that his sin is not just against other people but also against God. He pleads for God’s mercy, expressing his deep remorse and acknowledging his need for God’s help in overcoming his sin. The psalm is often considered one of the great expressions of penitence in religious literature, and is a vivid illustration of ideal repentance in action. In the psalm, David says, “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin” Psalm 51:1-2. This demonstrates his humility and willingness to confess his wrongdoing, as well as his trust in God’s forgiveness and grace. Overall, Psalm 51 reflects the key aspects of ideal repentance, including a deep sense of remorse, a willingness to confess one’s wrongdoing, and a recognition of one’s dependence on God’s grace. By examining this psalm, one can gain a deeper understanding of what it means to truly repent and turn away from sin.

The chatbot’s answer seems to cover all the bases and check all the right boxes. But it lacks one of the most important elements of repentance. It lacks the pain a true pennant feels when he realizes that he has moved farther away from God. A pain that David clearly feels when he cries out to God in Psalm 51.”

By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz

* Upon reading the word ‘sin’ in relation to a chatbot, my son Josh commented: “ A computer does not have a conscience. It’s just a stupid tool, it has no soul, it has nothing.”

What do you think?

Every blessing from our home to yours,

With loving prayer, from Meridel Rawlings
