Still Small Voice – Tevet 15, 5783.  January 8, 2023

Dear Friends: Now that the holidays are over … a word to encourage your heart. “I remember the devotion of your youth, the love of your betrothals, your following after Me in the wilderness… I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you. I will visit you and fulfil My good word to you… For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and hope. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Jeremiah 2:2,3 Ezekiel 16:60, Jeremiah 29:10,11 Isaiah 55:9. What’s New? Calling all of God’s people to battle by The Intercessors of America in Cindy Jacob’s latest brief. The essence of their very long message spoke to me of Israel in this.  “Beware of a marriage between the religious and political spirit.” This is exactly what has taken place inside …

Still Small Voice – Tevet 8, 5783, January 1st 2023

Happy New Year dear friends! I awoke with the Still Small Voice whispering: “I make all things new …!” This thrilled me. The LORD has always given me hope for the ‘can do’ in my life. I want you to have hope and confidence in the new year.  “Cast not away your confidence,  which has great recompense of reward.”    Hebrews 10:35 Remind yourself, that your faith is based upon the faithfulness of our loving Father. All of heaven is behind us and yes, our reality is; 2023 in the Gregorian calendar is ahead and it is unknown territory. But our God, who has created the beginning and the end is here with us! Ask Him for the unshakeable confidence that He IS in control. Right now choose not to allow fear to disturb or destroy your life. You must work to distance fear from your thoughts and emotions. TRUST in the LORD my dear friends as we go through this. That promise is implanted into my life this 2023. It is a new day …

Still Small Voice: Happy Hanukkah – Merry Christmas, Kislev 30, 5783 – Dec. 24th 2022.

Shalom Shalom, dear friends: I begin with Canadian Paul Wylie skating to a special rendition of O Holy Night!  Question from a former doner of Jerusalem Vistas/Israel Vision: “… as I understand the ministry of Jerusalem Vistas ceases at the end of 2022. I would like to continue to donate to you. I don’t need a tax receipt. I very much enjoy Still Small Voice. I hope that others will continue to support you. Wishing you peaceful holidays and a very blessed year 2023.”  Ursula Alberts Canada From Jay’s desk: “Yes, Vistas is closing after 40 amazing years in Jerusalem. It is the close of an organization but NOT a ministry. Have you read, Miracles Among the Nations? It will be available on Amazon soon. Meridel and I are busy with the next book, Volume 3, Israel, our Odyssey. Thanks Jay.’” From Meridel’s desk: “Thank you Ursula for this vote of confidence. I would so appreciate the help, see details at the end of this letter. Yes, you can donate to us through Still Small …

Still Small Voice.   Hanukkah – Christmas. Kislev 23, 5783 – December 17/22

Dear Family of Still Small Voice; The rush is on … so I will keep this short. In fact, I am sending you a very special investigative teaching on the early life of Miriam – Mary on two mp3 recordings. It is very easy listening as Clare Pfann, co-founder of the Jerusalem University opens the life of Miriam – Mary from as a teenager and up to and including the birth of Yeshua – Jesus. I suggest that you listen to this wonderfully illuminating teaching as you continue your preparations. This way I am not taking you away from cooking, driving to shop or picking the kids up, or perhaps, while you wrap up your Hanukkah and or Christmas gifts. Israel: But first, a little harsh news: Dec. 9/22.The United Nations took yet another swipe at the Jewish state when it voted 149-6 that Israel should accede to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and dispose of its nuclear weapons cache. Indeed, it is Iran that should be the main concern of the international community. Only …

Still Small Voice – Kislev 16, 5783 – December 10th, 2022

Shalom, shalom dear friends; Christmas is on our doorstep, and yet … yes our hearts are heavy. Our household account is stretched to breaking point. We feel pinched and stressed in this season of peace on earth, and goodwill toward men. Our hearts carry a strange ache that we cannot verbalize. Forces of darkness are at work among all peoples. Yet in this battle, we are not alone. God sends His obedient angels to help us, usually in ways that are hidden from us. The question is asked: ”Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” Hebrews 1:14 We are reminded: “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some have entertained angels not knowing it.” Hebrews 13:2  Have you been aware of angels in your world? Would you care to share it with Still Small Voice? I remember one particular evening when we lived on Mount Carmel in Haifa. We were renting a three-story building at the time. I felt out of my depth …

Still Small Voice – Kislev 8, 5783 – December 3rd 2022

Shalom dear friends: In the Christian world, the first Advent candle was lit. Christmas is coming. This year Hanukah is Dec. 18th through 26th. Hallelujah, let us all rejoice! “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God … In him was life, and the life was the light of all people.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.”  John 1:1 see Genesis1:1. Isaiah 9:6, John, 4, 5 “Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool …  but to this one I will look, to him who is humble and contrite in spirit  and who trembles at my word.” Isaiah 66:1a,2b Welcome to our world! God’s handiwork surrounds us. One of our great joys is to wake up and watch the dawn overtake the night. It never fails to leave us wonder-filled. Each morning is not only new, but different, unique. At the close of her visit, one of my granddaughters commented “The mountains and sea speak to me.”  …

Still Small Voice – Thanksgiving, Cheshvan 28, 5783 Nov. 24, 2022

Dear Friends, old and young: This week, my Still Small Voice touches upon Thanksgiving, the olive harvest and prayer. Let’s begin with the Pilgrims and early pioneers of North America. Like all of us, they still had a choice in tough times. These hearty souls decided in the midst of extreme hardship, famine and loss of life to pause and to give thanks to the Almighty. Yes, still many perished. No, it wasn’t easy but it was the Godly response that moved the Hand of God to provide the miracles that they needed to sustain them in the days, weeks, months and years ahead. Today the doomsday thinkers and naysayers are calling for a worldwide depression and financial collapse. Jerusalem, on the other hand, is suffering increased deadly attacks yet faithful ones in the midst of her give praise and worship to the Almighty continually. That is inspiring and in line with the Word of God … Give thanks always! Most of you will be aware of the two deadly bombing attacks yesterday at two …

Still Small Voice – Cheshvan 25, 8753. Nov. 19, 2022.

Dear Friends: Those of you from whom I hear, are often on my heart for prayer. What a privilege it is to communicate. My theme in this Still Small Voice is tribes. From childhood my life has been impacted by many tribal groups, perhaps it all began knowing my great great grandmother was of the Shaw Clan, a Scots Highlander. I grew up with the Bible, learning in depth about Israel and her people-tribes. “… and behold on the clouds of heaven, One like a Son of Man was coming. And he came up to the Ancient of Days and was presented to Him. And to him (The  Messiah) was given dominion (supreme authority). Glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, kingdoms and nations should serve and worship Him.” Daniel 7: 13,14 “At the time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations (tribes) of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and …

Still Small Voice – Heshvan 18, 5783 / November 12th 2022

Shalom Dear Friends: Sometimes I think we become all too familiar with the many privileges of being a believer in a God who lives! What do I mean? I know that I have not appreciated the immense potential granted me through His Living Word. We speak it daily, read and discuss it, but do I release it? I woke up this morning with some instructions:  “My Word IS the source of Life, hinder me not!”  Our Shabbat dinner is the highlight of the week. This week, two sons, a kalah, (Hebrew for a son’s wife}, a family friend and a delightful 22-month-old grandson were our guests. As is our custom, after the blessings we hugged and kissed before beginning to eat. It was a superb feast of fresh fish caught earlier in the day and masterfully prepared by our Greek friend. We topped it off with chocolate cake, berries and ice cream. Yummy. The real piece d’resistance was the scripture reading that followed. Today, who isn’t seeking direction in this upside-down world? It read as …

Still Small Voice – Cheshvan 12 5783 / November 6, 2022

To the dear company of my Friends: “Intercessors are really prophets who pray.” Jennifer Evaz  With the mounting stress, I turn to prayer. What do you do? Prayer is thankless work. One engages mostly alone with the LORD or in fellowship with fellow believers.  As a prayer warrior-intercessor-prophet, have you ever expected to be thanked? Of course not. I find the communion and fellowship with Yeshua my greatest reward, and I learn new things all the time. Thank you for also being willing to bear this yoke. No it is not easy. We don’t expect ‘easy’, for His burden IS Light! Prayer brings change, God’s way. I have kept a journal over the years, and the answers and solutions to insurmountable circumstances have been amazing. Prayer is the oil that keeps all parts moving in harmony … be it a car or the body of Messiah. This unity produces unseen energy, salvation, creativity and productivity. Yes, we must all do our part for faith without works is dead. “The LORD saw that the wickedness (depravity) …
