Liebe Freunde Ich erhielt dieses Email von unserem lieben kanadischen Freunden, Ralph Rutledge und seiner Schwester Norma Jean Mainse. David Mainse, Gott hab ihn selig, gründete und leitete 100 Huntley Street, Kanadas nationaler christlicher Fernsehsender. David liebte Israel und war uns ein guter Freund. Meridel und ich lasen täglich lange Jahre Davids Blog «100 Worte». Nun, da David letztes Jahr in den Himmel berufen wurde, führt sein Sohn, Ron Mainse, diesen täglichen Blog seines Vaters auf vielfältigen Wunsch weiter. Wir lernten David an einem Samstagmorgen im September 1969 kennen. Norma Jean kochte uns in ihrer Küche Kaffee, während Ron und Ren durchs Haus rannten und Türen zuschlugen, wie es Teenager immer tun! Vielleicht dachten sie auch wir wären cool, weil wir unsere Corvette draussen vor dem Haus geparkt hatten. Jay und ich wurden damals gerade von gutmeinenden Pastoren unfreundlich abgemahnt und gemieden, weil wir mit jungen Leuten für die Geistestaufe gebetet haben. Verletzt, aber nicht erschüttert, meinte Jay, als er die Freitagszeitung las: «Ich muss jemanden finden für ein Gespräch». So fanden wir Rev. David …

It has been a long time! And…many of us have lost loved ones, or have suffered specific set backs in health. This year 6 dear friends have gone home; one a family member. It is never easy to say ‘good-bye’ but as Jay says; “Death is the final good-bye.” When loved ones know the LORD it makes such a difference even though we sense that loneliness… is this the ‘sting of death’? Kjære venner: I dag mottok jeg en e-post fra våre kjære kanadiske venner, Ralph Rutledge og hans søster Norma Jean Mainse. David Mainse, velsignet minne, stiftet og var vert i Canadas landsdekkende kristne TV-nettverk, 100 Huntley Street. David var en kjær venn av oss og Israel. Meridel og jeg har fulgt Davids daglige og salvede blogg; 100 Ord. Siden David vendte hjem til himmelen i fjor, fortsetter hans sønn, Ron Mainse og poste farens blogg etter ønske fra mange. Vi møtte David for første gang en lørdag morgen i september, 1969. Dear Friends: Today I received this email from our dear Canadian friends, Ralph Rutledge and his sister Norma Jean Mainse. David Mainse, of blessed memory, founded and hosted 100 Huntley Street, Canada’s nationwide Christian TV network. David was a great friend of Israel and of ours. Meridel and I have followed David’s anointed daily blog 100 Words. Now, since David’s graduation to Heaven last year his son, Ron Mainse continues to send out his Dad’s blog at the request of many. We first met David on a Saturday morning in Sept 1969. Norma Jean served us coffee at their kitchen table, while Ron and Ren pranced through the house, slamming the screen door as young teens do! Maybe they thought we were cool because of our Corvette parked in their drive way. Selah Psalm 47:4 The large Hebrew letters above spell the unpronounceable name of the Living One, the Lord God, King of the Universe. In the Hebrew scriptures it is only written like this ‘’ with two yod’s or inverted commas. Jesus bore these marks as scars in his wrists and feet at Golgotha made by the nail prints. Yes, it is profound. In this letter we touch upon the ‘Glory’. Does the above fact of the nail prints illustrate His Glory? First, my family and I thank each one of you who have prayed and written inquiring about our youngest son Daniel, over these last three months. Not only is his latest MRI completely clear of any signs of inflammation; he is enjoying a new zest for life! For this we are filled with gratefulness, giving thanks many times a day. Liebe Freunde «Herr, meine Stärke und mein Schutz und meine Zuflucht am Tag der Bedrängnis!»Jeremia 16.19 Stärke = Kraft und Sicherheit Überrascht euch das Datum «Sommer»? Wir haben soeben Temperaturen von 40 – 50 Grad erlebt. 20 Waldbrände entfachten sich in Israel und den palästinensischen Gebieten, Griechenland, Zypern, Ägypten und Russland kamen uns zu Hilfe, Gott sei Dank! Wir hielten unser Heim geschlossen, Ventilatoren liefen; und wir trinken Unmengen von Wasser mit frischen Zitronen! Ja… der Sommer ist hier! Ein herzlicher Dank an jeden Einzelnen, der für Daniel gebetet hat. Er fühlt sich «besser», aber noch nicht vollständig gesund. Bis jetzt konnte keine Diagnose gefunden werden, Tests gehen weiter und wir glauben für seine vollständige Wiederherstellung und Gesundheit. Die nachfolgenden Zeilen sind für die vielen unter uns, die schwierige Zeiten durchmachen. «Geliebte, lasst euch durch das Feuer der Verfolgung unter euch, das euch zur Prüfung geschieht, nicht befremden, als begegne euch etwas Fremdes … sondern freut euch…»1. Dear Friends: “O LORD my strength* and my fortress,My refuge in the day of affliction.” Jeremiah 16:19a strength* = power + security Are you surprised to see ‘summer’ as the date on your letter? We have just come through temperatures of 40 to 45 C. Twenty forest fires exploded across Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt and Russia all came to our aid, thank God! Meanwhile, we kept our home closed up with fans going; all the while we were drinking copious amounts of water with fresh lemon! Yes… summer is here! Thank you each and everyone for your prayers for Daniel. He is feeling ‘better’ but not up to full health yet. Still a diagnosis has to be found, and tests continue and we believe for his complete recovery and health. I am enclosing the following teaching for the many among us who are experiencing trials at this time. “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you:…but rejoice…” 1 …

Dear Friends who have prayed for our son Daniel:Here is an update. For 51 years since leaving Canada, the LORD has made us very dependent upon Him. We see each love notice and kindness as a gift from His hand. Thank you for inquiring about our youngest son’s health for prayer purposes. Daniel was diagnosed with lesions on his brain and languishes… not well, not totally ill… just not up to par. We have applied topically, or orally: aloe, coconut oil, fish oils and garlic to his routine and diet. We are believing the inflammation in his brain is subject to Messiah Jesus! The Bloodline keeps us alive and safe. The Holy One of Israel has proven His faithfulness all of these years. Just this morning Jay was rehearsing how Jesus healed my incurably sick liver back in 1969, when the doctors could do nothing. (I had lived in India for 2 yrs.) Then how He healed Chris from meningitis as a very small boy in Ecuador 1973, and raised Jay from the dead in Marseille 1976… We …

To My Dear Friends:The prayer on my lips these days is: …lead us in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:24 On Friday, April 26th we took our youngest son Daniel to emergency because his speech was slurred and he couldn’t get his thoughts out. Many of you read our prayer requests on his behalf. Thank you for your notes of encouragement and assurances of prayer for Daniel. He spent a week in the hospital, undergoing extensive investigative procedures. All we know at this point is that he has sustained inflammation in his brain. Perhaps with the results of his blood and spinal fluid exams, some light will be shed on what is going on. Meanwhile, he is resting at home, and taking steroids, which leave him very tired. So… it is a time to rest and reflect; which he is doing. “I can feel the prayers, ” he said, “please thank everyone for me and don’t stop!” We encourage ourselves with this promise: Mercy and truth have met together, righteousness and peace have kissed. Mine kjære venner: Mitt hjerte er så fullt. Jeg har bedt om at dette brevet vil bli en personlig velsignelse for hver enkelt av dere. Hvilket privilegium er det for oss og «velsigne» Herren; spesielt når det er vanskelige tider. Før jeg begynner, la meg bare si at vi ikke har hørt noen av dere i år. Vennligst fortell oss om du ønsker å være en del av vår verden. I dette brevet feirer vi påsken slik det er skrevet i Skriften. Baruch Atah – DU!På hebraisk begynner vi alle velsignelser med Baruch Atah! Midt i dagens verden av kjønnshysteri snakker vi her om et intimt til Gud som Atah eller DU/DEG ( Atha = Du, altså hankjønn på hebraisk). Umiddelbart trekkes vi inn i forhold, et kjærlighetsforhold. For det andre betyr baruch; å velsigne. Så det første vi gjør hver dag, er å «velsigne deg»! Jesus adresserte sin Far slik. Dette er et personlig og intimt forhold, langt fra “religion”. Jeg tror dette er en av Israels hemmeligheter, og det er ærverdig og bemerkelsesverdig. …
