Still Small Voice – July / August 2009

Shalom;

God bless you each one for your loving letters. I will give some details of my incredible trip to Europe later.

July in Israel is hot! Our family planned a get away, and because finances were scarce we all emptied out our refrigerators, grabbed the coolers, tents, swimsuits, grand-babies, sunscreen bedding and cooking utensils. We filled 4 vehicles… and headed north.

A wide creamy white sandy beach became our campsite for two nights. Eight silver colored tents were set in a semi-circle not including the tent filled with toys and books when the sun got to be too much for the children. The men raised a sun shade on 4 poles so the Moms had some protection in the camp kitchen. Dads and kids scavenged wood for cooking and camp fires.  Liyah just 5 learned to surf. Noam and Amitai found adventure dressed as Beduin sheiks  The girls swam, read and painted. The twins roared up and down the smooth wet sand racing giant yellow trucks. They laid down full length on the wet sand; eyes fixed at the level of their treaded wheels kept them fascinated as they moved back and forth over the sand.  Occasionally a far reaching wave washed over their brown bodies, but they didn’t even move.

Israelis on horseback also enjoyed the space as did the panting and sweating soldiers in training .  We all became children, playing in the surf until we lay exhausted on the beach. Everyone prepared food, the men of course barbecued the meat. A burning bronze sun sank into the sea bringing immediate relief,it was replaced by the soft pastel shades of sunset.  Once the little ones were asleep in their tents, the rest of us sat and soaked in the magic of  the camp fire. A silver full moon rose over the cliffs behind us, working it’s wonder on the scene. I couldn’t help but think of the history this beach has witnessed stretching back centuries. The evening was cool, and the older children snuggled next the closest auntie, uncle, grandparent or parent. We all took turns telling stories. The love of adventure is built into our genes! Jay summed it all up this way; “It was a full time job keeping an eye on the little ones, 8 little tummies to be filled, 8 little bladders to be emptied and 80 sticky fingers wiped! He decided that Grandpa’s need lots of extra patience, time and money.”  ‘Mom Honey’ which is what the kids named me, slept long hours; I worked very hard in Europe in May and June.

IMG_9089sThe noise of the surf was enormous, and at night the thin walls of our tents seemed to accentuate it’s roar. The sense of energy and power would have be overwhelming to me if our God had not decreed this.

“Do you not fear Me? says the LORD.
Will you not tremble at my presence.
Who has placed the sand as the bound of the sea,
by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it?
And though its waves toss to and fro,
Yet they cannot prevail:
Though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it.”
Jeremiah 5:22

IMG_9057sThat night I dreamt I was lying on the beach facing the wild pounding surf. As I looked out to sea; I saw Messiah coming towards me walking on the water. Is this an indication of the days of awe ahead of us? We returned home limp as rags having been buffeted by the rolling surf, relaxed by the beauty of it all and strengthened by the joy of loving family relationships and that incredible and glorious sense of belonging.

Billy Graham’s Prayer For Our Country

‘Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.  We know Your Word says, ‘Woe to those who call evil good,’ but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values..  We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.  We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.  We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.  We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.  We have abused power and called it politics.  We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition.  We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.  We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.  Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.  Amen!’

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, ‘The Rest of the Story,’ and received a larger response to this program than any other he ever aired.  With the Lord’s help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called ‘One nation under God.’

Think about this: If you forward this prayer to everyone on your e-mail list, in less than 30 days it would be heard by the world.  (It’s worth a try!)  One Nation Under God.

I have just competed 6 weeks of ministry in Switzerland and Germany and have done my best to follow the LORD every step of the way. When I got home sick I just got out my lap top and tuned into www.israelvision.tv and there were my gang doing their work.

I found it so comforting. Check it out for yourself. We now have daily news from Israel. I taught in Tom and Lisa Gegenshatz Int’l Bible School in Alstaten. What a privilege to work with pastors from Uganda, Kenya and Zimbabwe and musicians from India and other students from Germany and Switzerland. I was able to attend a David Hogan conference in Austria, and meet Suresh Babar, the Billy Graham of India. It was all an enriching experience. I found Tom impeccable when it comes to ministry ethics. I highly recommend you avail yourself to his world wide work. email: rechobot@gmx.net

The ‘Old Testament” which to the Jew is the blessed Torah, Tanuak and Writings is hardly referred to by many modern day Christians. I see a very grave danger in this, because 2/3rd of holy writ are often ignored. I think people are living on a starvation diet and found ready ground for my teachings on the ‘generations’ and ‘iniquity’. Divine principles followed all the way through the scriptures and Jesus came to redeem us from sin and iniquity. If you would like more on this subject just write to me. I would love to hear from you.

Pastor Gaby Wentland invited me to come specifically to counsel the pained and hurting. I spent dozens of hours in the counseling chamber and saw profound changes take place. If people are given the proper tools to work with healing is always the result. If you would like to know more about my work, I would be happy to send you a booklet entitled: The Art of Living.. just as soon as the German translation is completed.

I return to Israel tomorrow, times are very grave there. None of us at Israel Vision have received a salary for 3 months, I am so grateful for my time in Europe as I was able to send every offering back to the poor saints in Jerusalem. Check our: israelvision.tv We covet your prayers, your interest and thank you for you loving support. David’s new program can be found under the film titles ‘Jewish’ titled: Grandpa’s Jack’s Farm.  Amazing… By the way under Christianity have you checked out “The Fountain of Tears.”
The Pal Pal button has been made more accessible on the the site should you want to send that way. It is the safest.  We have to rethink how to survive. We all do I know.

I have said nothing about the amazing opportunities afforded me, but will save those for the next Still Small Voice. Now I am happy to go home to my beloved Jay.

“And the work of righteousness shall be peace,
and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.”
Isaiah 32:17

Our hope is in Messiah;

The last Sunday I watched your DVD. EXCELLENT! The wish is born in me to get to know my family tree better. I already had a discussion with my parents about it. They first weren’t so happy about it, because they thought I got too psychological. But it was great to challenge each other and to discuss about things together we have never spoken about. We could have a discussion on a frankly basic.  and so strong and you are going to enjoy every bit of it.
This morning, I awoke to a wonderful dream., I was in a lush garden with dew on the leaves of the plants. In front of me were distinct foot prints and my instructions were simply to step into the foot prints in front of me. Guess whose they were? The Rabbis tell us that now is the time of the “footsteps of the Messiah.” Perhaps you agree…
Shalom,
