Double Honour

Dear Friends:  Today I received this email from our dear Canadian friends, Ralph Rutledge and his sister Norma Jean Mainse. David Mainse, of blessed memory, founded and hosted 100 Huntley Street, Canada’s nationwide Christian TV network. David was a great friend of Israel and of ours. Meridel and I have followed David’s anointed daily blog 100 Words. Now, since David’s graduation to Heaven last year his son, Ron Mainse continues to send out his Dad’s blog at the request of many.   We first met David on a Saturday morning in Sept 1969. Norma Jean served us coffee at their kitchen table, while Ron and Ren pranced through the house, slamming the screen door as young teens do! Maybe they thought we were cool because of our Corvette parked in their drive way. Jay and I had recently been shown the left foot of fellowship by well meaning Pastors, when we prayed for their young people to receive the Baptism of the Holy spirit. Hurt, but not deterred; reading the Friday paper, Jay said, “I …

Still Small Voice – Av 5779/August 2019

He will choose our inheritance for us, the excellence of Jacob whom He loves. Selah Psalm 47:4 The large Hebrew letters above spell the unpronounceable name of the Living One, the Lord God, King of the Universe. In the Hebrew scriptures it is only written like this ‘’  with two yod’s or inverted commas. Jesus bore these marks as scars in his wrists and feet at Golgotha made by the nail prints. Yes, it is profound. In this letter we touch upon the ‘Glory’. Does the above fact of the nail prints illustrate His Glory? First, my family and I thank each one of you who have prayed and written inquiring about our youngest son Daniel, over these last three months. Not only is his latest MRI completely clear of any signs of inflammation; he is enjoying a new zest for life! For this we are filled with gratefulness, giving thanks many times a day. Thank you to each one who prayed and sent encouraging words of love and direction to Daniel. One of the vows …

Still Small Voice – Summer 2019

Dear Friends: “O LORD my strength* and my fortress,My refuge in the day of affliction.” Jeremiah 16:19a  strength* = power + security Are you surprised to see ‘summer’ as the date on your letter? We have just come through temperatures of 40 to 45 C. Twenty forest fires exploded across Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt and Russia all came to our aid, thank God! Meanwhile, we kept our home closed up with fans going; all  the while we were drinking copious amounts of water with fresh lemon! Yes… summer is here! Thank you each and everyone for your prayers for Daniel. He is feeling ‘better’ but not up to full health yet. Still a diagnosis has to be found, and tests continue and we believe for his complete recovery and health. I am enclosing the following teaching for the many among us who are experiencing trials at this time. “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you:…but rejoice…” 1 …

Hello Dear Friends who Pray

Dear Friends who have prayed for our son Daniel:Here is an update. For 51 years since leaving Canada, the LORD has made us very dependent upon Him. We see each love notice and kindness as a gift from His hand. Thank you for inquiring about our youngest son’s health for prayer purposes. Daniel was diagnosed with lesions on his brain and languishes… not well, not totally ill… just not up to par. We have applied topically, or orally: aloe, coconut oil, fish oils and garlic to his routine and diet. We are believing the inflammation in his brain is subject to Messiah Jesus! The Bloodline keeps us alive and safe. The Holy One of Israel has proven His faithfulness all of these years. Just this morning Jay was rehearsing how Jesus healed my incurably sick liver back in 1969, when the doctors could do nothing. (I had lived in India for 2 yrs.) Then how He healed Chris from meningitis as a very small boy in Ecuador 1973, and raised Jay from the dead in Marseille 1976… We …

Still Small Voice-Iyar 5779 / May 2019

To My Dear Friends:The prayer on my lips these days is: …lead us in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:24 On Friday, April 26th we took our youngest son Daniel to emergency because his speech was slurred and he couldn’t get his thoughts out. Many of you read our prayer requests on his behalf. Thank you for your notes of encouragement and assurances of prayer for Daniel. He spent a week in the hospital, undergoing extensive investigative procedures. All we know at this point is that he has sustained inflammation in his brain. Perhaps with the results of his blood and spinal fluid exams, some light will be shed on what is going on. Meanwhile, he is resting at home, and taking steroids, which leave him very tired. So… it is a time to rest and reflect; which he is doing. “I can feel the prayers, ” he said, “please thank everyone for me and don’t stop!” We encourage ourselves with this promise: Mercy and truth have met together, righteousness and peace have kissed. Psalm 85:10 …

Passover 2019

My Dear Friends: My heart is so full. I have prayed that this letter will be a blessing to each one of you, personally. What a privilege it is for us to “bless” the LORD; especially when the going gets rough. Before I start just let me say, we have not heard from some of you this year. Kindly indicate if you would like to be part of our world. In this letter we celebrate Passover as we believe it is set forth in Scripture. Baruch Atah – YOU!In Hebrew we begin every blessing with Baruch Atah! In todays world of gender hysteria, here we speak intimately to God as Atah or YOU.  Immediately we are drawn into relationship, a love relationship. Secondly, baruch means to bless. So first thing every day we bless YOU!  Jesus addressed His Father this way. This is a personal and intimate relationship, far removed from ‘religion’.  I think this is one of Israel’s secrets, and is honourable and noteworthy. Scrubbing away PRIDE & ARROGANCEPassover brings a sense of expectation …

Middle East Update

Ori Ansbacher, aged 19, was a gentle Jewish soul who volunteered with disadvantaged kids of all faiths. On Feb. 7th, 2019, while walking alone in the forest near Jerusalem, she was raped, stabbed multiple times and decapitated. Arafat Irfayia: Ori’s murderer, a proud Palestinian from Hebron smirks, “I wanted to return to an Israeli jail. “Now officially a Hero of the Resistance, according to the Palestinian Authority, he will receive $3,700 US. salary monthly for life (paid by UK & EU taxpayers). He will likely spend at most 10 years in a comfortable Israeli jail and will also enjoy the honor of having schools and roads named after him. Here in Israel, we feel that justice has been turned upon its head. This despicable murderer is no doubt the victim of the P.A.’s educational system of hatred of Israel; brainwashing their children and youth to believe the highest honor is to murder an Israeli. Former Israeli PM Ehud Barak,  since the Oslo Accords in 1982 was ‘Inspector’ on behalf of Israel for anti-semitic and anti-Israel rhetoric perpetrated in Palestinian school books. Recently he …

Alan Dershowitz addresses the worldwide surge of anti-Semitism

    – Why are so many grandchildren of Nazis and Nazi collaborators who brought us the Holocaust once again declaring war on the Jews? – Why have we seen such an increase in anti-Semitism and irrationally virulent anti-Zionism in Western Europe? To answer these questions, a myth must first be exposed. That myth is the one perpetrated by the French, Dutch, Norwegians, Swiss, Belgians, Austrians, and many other western Europeans: namely that the Holocaust was solely the work of German Nazis aided perhaps by some Polish, Ukrainian, Latvian, Lithuanian, and Estonian collaborators. False. The Holocaust was perpetrated by Europeans: by Nazi sympathizers and collaborators among the French, Dutch, Norwegians, Swiss, Belgians, Austrians and other Europeans, both Western and Eastern. If the French government had not deported more Jews than their German occupiers asked for, to the death; if so many Dutch and Belgian citizens and government officials had not cooperated in the roundup of Jews; if so many Norwegians had not supported Quisling; if Swiss government officials and bankers had not exploited Jews; if …

Prayer Alert, Anti-Semitism is on the rise in Europe

Still Small Voice Thanks you…                                     March 2019 You do not have because you do not ask. Ask and it shall be given to you,  For everyone who asks receives;  and he who seeks finds;  and to him who knocks it shall be opened. James 4:2  Matthew 7:7,8. Shalom all who want to make a difference in these dark days: I asked our eldest son, David, over Shabbat, “Which area is the most dangerous for Israel; militant Iran or Europe with its sweeping radical changes?” In France alone, ISIS has murdered 230 people.  Without hesitation, he responded: “Europe.” I agree and the following information will substantiate this conviction. Our conversation continued: “David, we’ve been working for aliyah, helping to encourage Jews to come home to Israel for 50 years now. And with all of the Jew-hatred worldwide; this call is even more important than ever!  As a family, we created, films, TV shows, books, and lectures. Together we …

Still Small Voice Shevat/Adar 5779 Winter 2019

Shalom Dear Friends, “It was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, …”  The Tale of Two Cities, by Charles Dickens, 1859 I think this quotation sums up our current situation quite accurately. Jay joins me in sending you our thanks and prayers for a blessed 2019. I am humbled and deeply encouraged by your loving responses. We send blessings to you. Your support keeps us working, it is just that simple. We are grateful for your interest, prayers, and response, more than you can ever know. Tell others about us and take our letter to your prayer meetings. “ I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.” John 9:4 The one common theme in most of your …
