History comes to life: Archaeologly in Israel

The modern nation of Israel has deep Biblical and historical roots in ancient Israel. One never knows when or where the next amazing archaeological discovery will be. Archaeologists in Israel have uncovered a Roman amphitheater in Hippos. This ancient city has been unearthed on the salt route to Damascus. It was on this road when Pau, the persecuto, was blinded by a heavenly light that caused him to fall off of his horse. Being the religious Jew that he was, he used an achronym for the unpronouncable name of God, always spelling with capitals. Wonderingly Paul inquired: “Who are you LORD?” The answer came back… “I am Jesus!” He was stunned! That was the beginning of his transformation. The rest is history.

150 years ago, Jewish artists and intellectuals from Central and Eastern Europe, reclaimed Jesus as a Jew to bring him back into the fold. One of the most exciting articles I ever read in the Jerusalem Post was years ago, it was entitled. “When are we going to reclaim Jesus?” There is an awakening here and in the Jewish world now that Jesus is a incredibly significant historical fact, which needs to be reclaimed. Watching the Sea of Galilee

The Sea is at its lowest since 1972. The entire nation of Israel prays for rain, no matter what their religious persuasion is. No Relief

I know and am a witness, says the LORD. Jeremiah 29:23 Kay Wilson is also a witness. Giving testimony at a Stand With Us event in Sussex England, she relives her experience with Palestinian terror. Please do not say, “Oh not again enough!” This is an unforgettable account of innocence lost as she witnessed the murder of a Christian friend right in front of her. The Palestinian Authority has not changed its agenda since it started in 1964.  PA President Mahmood Abbas, 81, a Holocaust denier, inherited a tradition of tyranny. His predecessor, Yasser Arafat, was also President of the PA for life. Nothing has changed. There are no free elections in the Palestinian Authority. In 2005 I, Meridel Rawlings, did extensive research on abuse in the PA. Living in Jerusalem, I consulted with Israelis, Palestinians and Christian Arabs.  …

The earth is reeling today under the threat of terror. Multitudes are numb with grief and pain, prayer for them perhaps is just mute silence. Let those of us who are quiet and at ease, pick up the slack, and remember the suffering in loving prayer. Today the ‘valley of decision’ is crowded with humanity from every nation. We can remember them. Here’s how.

To Dr. Jay Rawlings from his family “We, the Rawlings family will follow you to the ends of the earth!” Daniel, Josh, Chris, David and Meridel On January 28th Dr. Jay Rawlings received a “Life Time Achievement Award” from the World Jewish Congress and the Christian Allies Caucaus during a dinner at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Jerusalem. David and Joshua and granddaughter Maya were in attendance. Meridel will be in New Delhi India on the last leg of her Nepal journey and Daniel continues his filming work in Nepal. Dear friends of Jay and Meridel: It is with a profound sense of gratefulness that we send you these heart felt greetings for a blessed 2016. We are presently working in Kathmandu Nepal with Daniel to complete the film we began over two years ago on the ‘behind the scene’ work of CHANGE ACTION NEPAL. David received the name of ‘CAN’ while filming our Nepali friend Indira. She is our hero because of her wise and loving work of rehabilitating trafficked children. Our sons. David, Chris, Josh and Daniel have joined their parents in getting this story out to the world. We desire to keep you posted as this journey unfolds from the roof top of the world. Our first course of action is to film the earth quake damage from April 2015 and the shocking upsurge in human trafficking due to increased poverty and want.
