Messiah!

What is the question each living person needs to ask? “Who are you LORD?” What was the unexpected answer heard by a blind and bewildered, Saul, later called Paul, set on his course to murder ‘believers of The Way’ in Damascus?: “I am Jesus!” was the answer. This was the begining of a transformation that made Paul perhaps the greatest Apostle in history. Today our world is bankrupt. Manipulative government  leaders seem powerless to stop the wars, which create havoc in millions of lives. People of faith believe that the only hope is the coming of the Prince of Peace, The Messiah. Download Jay Rawlings’ Jerusalem Vistas Spring Newsletter here.

Passover: the most celebrated Biblical Feast

It is with a deep sense of gratefulness and yes, joy, that today I found this piece flowing through my fingers to the keyboard from my mind and heart. Yes, Israel has an astounding history that continues to unfold prophetically. The fact that the vast majority of the Christian world does not appreciate this truth, proves that they are simply out of touch with the Biblical prophets and the prophecies of Jesus Himself. We as a family have had the privilege of docmenting 2/3rds of Israel’s modern history in documentary form. “Blessed are those who bless you Israel” has been our esperience and it isn’t over yet. We have sons and grandchildren growing up in our footsteps. I invite you to stroll down through history at our Passover Feast. Download the Passover newsletter here. Hag Samach Pessach! The Desert Speaks

20 members of our synagogue Bible class enjoyed a sensational weekend in Israel’s desert. We stayed on Kibbutz Quetura named after the 3rd wife of Abraham, located on the ancient sea floor of the desert. The Red Sea and Dead Sea were one millions of years ago. We visited the biggest solar farm in Israel, the largest date palm groves and enjoyed Shabbat dinner with 400 kibbutzniks.  The Bible came alive in the Desert, as we studied Elijah. God had to take him to the desert so that he could discern “the still small voice”.

Still Small Voice thanks you, March 2016

Shalom Dear Friends; Thank you for the excitement that we read in your letters. You are happy for the open doors the LORD has granted us and so are we. The JOY of the LORD is our strength. We have no where else to go, there is no escape route when the going gets harder. Like all of Israel, we are here and we are not backing up. I hope your evening news is giving you balanced reporting. Now about the troubling situation here in Israel as it worsens day by day. “We are troubled on every side… nevertheless it is God who comforts…” 2 Corinthians 7:5.6 Bizarre, shocking and inhumane are just 3 inadequate words to try and describe the murders. In broad daylight young terrorists plunge butcher knives, screwdrivers and scissors into the heads, necks, chests and backs of victims going about their daily lives in public places. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, since 13 September 2015: 34 people have been killed in terrorist attacks with 397 people (4 Palestinians) injured. …

Nepal My Love

Here is a sneak preview of some still photos from the movie project on Nepal that the Rawlings family are working on called, “You CAN make a Difference”. It is about combatting human trafficking and sexual abuse of children in this beautiful “rooftop of the world” mountain kingdom. Jay is currently writing the script and found some pics he thought you would like to see. They were taken on a 17 km trek up towards the Annapurna range of the Himalaya Mountains when Meridel, Chris and David met by chance a young man and his sickly mother. As you will see they met other special people as well, young and old alike. If you would like to help us complete this vital media project please visit our website where you can donate online via PayPal using most major credit cards.

Listen to the Agony of Asia

Nepal is in crisis after the earthquake in April 2015 and now with the Indian economic embargo. Victims are still eeking out an existence in tents. Water lines have never been restored Child trafficking is at the highest levels ever… and gasoline is at a premium as it is trucked in from India. The black market flourishes.
