Still Small Voice – “A gentle whisper in the midst of noise.”

My dear friends who pray:

“… in the silence I heard a [quiet] voice say,
Can a mortal be innocent before God?
Job 4:16 – 21

What is July bringing to you? Thank you for your responses to my last letter, in which I shared my Jerusalem family’s experiences during the war between Israel and Iran. Can we even imagine how exhausted Israelis are, having lived in constant turmoil since Oct. 7th 2023?

How Israel Prays:

War and trouble continue to swirl all around, and darkness abounds. Endless media forecasts are devised to unsettle and frighten us all? Negative voices without and within, unsettle. I sense deep restlessness and unease in my friends.

But the believing Israelis pray with fervour and faithfulness, knowing the Prophets.

A Time of Preparation?

Anyone can safely confide in Yeshua: upon waking, throughout the day and before bedtime. Invite the Holy Spirit to whisper into your thoughts. As the rush and racket of the day continues unabated, find a place to commune with Jesus, the friend who sticks closer than a brother or sister. Think of today as a time of preparation. Only heaven can get us ready us for the sweeping changes ahead. So let us be encouraged to give more attention to the scripture and listening for The Still Small Voice.Watch and pray. To keep our balance we must stay on a quest for that ‘holy hush’.“Father, in Yeshua’s Name, I need Your ‘deep calm’ within. Yeshua is the anchor that holds.”

A Profound Mystery:

The only problem with our testimony, yours or mine is this; do our relationships with family members line up? Jesus assured us of conflicts within the family structure. Work to live at peace with all, as much as you are able. No, we are not to be anyones doormat! But what I find challenging is what I perceive as ‘disrespect’. But, heh, who am I? Who do I think I am? Respect is earned not given. There is cost involved. The key to great success put simply is: “keep your mouth shut.” Oh, that’s  easy … right? WRONG!  One of my sons so wisely said, “Mom, God gives us what we need, not what we want!”

“The tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life.” James 3. Go ahead and read the entire chapter.

Do we allow the blue print of Jesus’ to become our own? No it is not easy, but He never said it would be! Humility has to be the most difficult of all attributes, it is the anthesis of ego or an enormous sense of SELF-importance! Let us try to continue living our days out in honesty, praying  for ourselves first. Only, then will my peace be undisturbed, and the reflection of Yeshua will be seen in me.

The Call:

Watch and pray for the vulnerable peoples whose nations are at war. You have the authority to send angels to minister in impossible  and needy situations. Yes, “we all love Yeshua-Jesus, but do we embrace His demands of Obedience, which nurtures growth. Ask yourself … “Am I truly a bond servant? The choice is yours alone. Jesus called Himself the ‘Son of Man’.  He lived a very human existence. He never quit, paid the price, and stayed His course! Sadly, 2,000 years ago it was the hour of Israel’s visitation and the nation missed it. Is it not that time again?  You and I are alive to witness  the fulfillment of prophecy. Pray my dear friends, for multitudes stand in the valley of decision.

James, one of the brothers of Jesus wrote James chapter 3; that penetrating teaching on the tongue. He was so close to the Master, and of course only wanted to follow His brother’s example. This he did, as the first Shepherd of Jerusalem’s Believers in Yeshua until his death.

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8

May we all be renewed in our minds and hearts this hot, difficult summer.

Keep your prayer watch, for the hour is very late.
